The drive back home was definitely quicker, milana was still some what shaken up from her previous close encounter with death but luckly vaida was there to save her just in time.

"So..where are you all staying?"

I hear milana ask as I keep my eyes on the road, there were still a few broke down cars randomly parked on it so it was important to be on full Aller, wouldn't want to crash our new ride.

"Back at my place, while we were waiting for you we managed to upgrade it a bit, we were hoping that you'd come to us in your own time buuuut we got worried and decided to just come and get you, and rightfully so..."

Oliwia answered, the others including me hummed in agreement, milana was in a some what sticky situation.

"Well it can only get better from now on, we're planning to look for our parents but we won't get far with just knifes and a bat.."

Vaida said, and it was true, our parents were separated, some at a shop in a completely different town, some at work, it would be hard looking for them in populated areas, the more people there were during the disaster the more zombies would stick around,  it was good that our hometown was relatively small, around 15 thousand locals, which for 2023 is quite small compared to other towns in the country.

"Right, we're nearly home, let's just hope the area around our house is relatively clear"

"And that no one broke in!"

Oliwia added, we had a lot of supplies so it would suck to get them stolen. I nod agreeing with her.

Taking a familiar turn we were now on our road, the sun slowly setting, today was truly a lucky day, we escaped death a few times and at the end of the day arrived back home fully safe with milana.

Parking the car on a now empty spot that was once taken by the old car, we took a minute too examine the area, empty.. good.

We all quickly made our way back, oliwia unlocked the door and as we all entered we quickly used the rest of our strength to push the couch back against the door, just for extra safety.

"Ughhhh it's so good to be back home"

I say as I let out a big sigh, flopping down on a chair, it was some what awkward seeing the living room without a couch, but stil, it gives us more space for any needed equipment.

"Tell me about it"

Vaida said as she sat at the chair beside mine, Miles taking the PE bag from her to set it down on the table, taking out all the left over water and food that we lucky didn't need to fully use up.

Sitting up to get a better look at the living room, it was clear it started to get a bit dusty, should they clean the house? Does it even matter at a time like this? It's not like someone will barge in and judge them because the house is a bit dusty during a zombie Apocalypse. I shrug to myself, it would be better to focus on more important things, like getting better weapons and making this place just a bit more secure, the front of the house is still a weak point, the wooden fence is short so anything or anyone can easily get in and barge through the front door... maybe replacing it with a tall metal fence would be smarter?

But my thought are interrupted by milana.

"Well? Going back to the problem at hand, you lot said ya'll wanted better weapons, any idea how to get them in the first place?"
