100 Days in a zombie apocalypse

Day 7

Oliwia

My head felt like it was going to explode, the ringing in my ears unbelievably hard to bare, my vision blurred, not sure if it's from the crash or the fact I'm so disoriented I can't find my glasses, feeling some movement beside me I look to the to my right and realise the car is flipped on its side I see milana and vaida beside me, but that wasn't all, looking up at the window above us I see hands, many hands, wait, why were there hands here?

My consciousness coming back to me in an instant I realise what situation we're in, the car crash attracted all the zombies in the area, sitting up I look over at both milana and vaida, they were just waking up, groaning, probably still not knowing what's going on.

Sitting up I try to use my hands to pull myself up only to be met with pain, quickly pulling my hand away, I can see streaks of red rolling down my palm, god, having shitty vision was a pain. I whiped my hand on my shirt, I grip on to the the seat beside me once more, this time being more careful, glass cracking under me as I move, I peep my head over to check on neon and Miles, the front of the car is completely shattered, however the zombies can't get in because its pressed against something, a truck? Whatever it was, it was big, Why was there a truck conveniently placed in the middle of the bridge anyway?

Seeing something gold-ish with the corner of my eye I look over to the small object, picking it up I slightly smile to myself.

'good, at least I won't need to be half blind forever'

I think to myself as I put on my glasses, the right lense slightly cracked but it doesn't bother me as much, now that I can get a better look around the car, were all covered in glass and the zombie problem is still yet to be solved.

Milana

I rub my face, brushing away little pieces of glass that landed on me, grabbing on to the first thing I could find, I try to pull myself up only to fall back down on my back again, I accidentally grabbed on to oliwia's shirt, which caused her to fall on her ass too, both hissing in pain as the shattered glass, like little needles poked in to our skin.

"Everyone okay?"

I can hear oliwia ask, her voice only but a whisper, she was answered with groans from me and all the others, good, at least everyone was in one piece.

A few more seconds had passed, vaida got squished by our pe bag that was filled with supplies, me and oliwia helped her get it off of her, luckly the knifes we had didn't go flying stabbing Everyone and none of us suffered life threatening injuries.

"So..how do we take care of this problem?"

Vaida pointed up at the window above is, all looking up, flabbergasted, there were so many

"I don't know..."

Neon said, will this be the end for us? We try to get as much distance from the window above us, we could hear the glass slowly cracking, any moment now it will all come crashing down on us.

We brase ourselves for the impact only to hear gunshots, looking up, each zombie one by one going stiff, all the brains and blood spilling down on us... disgusting...

Whoever it was might as well confuse us for one of them, furiously spitting out any blood that might have gotten in to out mouths we hear footsteps coming towards our car, they were heavy and slow, oh god, it was probably some killer that broke out from prison after the apocalypse started, should we play dead? Might as well if we look like this.

Step...Step...Step... one by one getting closer and closer to us, we tried to hide, anywhere with anything but it was too late, whoever it was pulled the remaining zombies off of our car, looking down at us was...

"Julia?"

I say, Julia was the last person we expected.

Julia

I open the car door and look at the bunch of blood covered girls

"Great... its you idiots"

I say, gripping my gun as they all climb out.

"Julia! Oh my god we completely forgot about you"

Milana said, she was one of my best friends, I may not show it but I'm glad to see her too.

"Wow I'm so honoured you decided to remember I exist.."

I say sarcastically, the others brushing off any glass that was still in them, trying to clean their faces with their shirts, it's only been a week yet they look like they've been living in this for over 5 years and decided to turn to cannibalism.

"Who even blocks the road like that.."

Miles said, some what annoyed, the truck was placed right in the middle of the bridge they were crossing, when they were driving back from their beach house the first time to get to oliwias place this wasn't here so it's not like they expected to crash in to a fucking truck of all things.

"Me you idiot, the zombies from the town over are slowly making their way here, what you encountered was only the first few that made it here the quickest, your little crash here opened up an entrance for them"

I say, pointing at the back of the truck, the impact of their car with the truck slightly moved it, causing the truck to pull away from one end of the bridge, allowing whatever zombies gathered up to walk right in and start clawing at their car.

"Well, what are you doing here anyway?"

Oliwia asks and I simply showed them my gun.

"Getting these, duh, stopped by milanas grandfather's place n took a few things"

"HUH!? How come you know where MY grandfather lives but I don't!?"

Milana exclaimed, clearly shocked.

"Well you told me where he lives that one time 4 years ago, I just remembered it"

I say shrugging, all the others stare at me in silence.

"Well... at least you got them...how would you feel about taking all the stuff you got back with us? There is still room for more back at our place"

Oliwia said, was she offering me to stick with them? Looking from oliwia to milana to miles, vaida and neon I think, this can either go really well or really bad real quick, but, at the same time, what would they do without me? Just now if I didn't show up they would've been zombie dinner, letting out a sigh of defeat I nod my head.

"Okay, yeah... sure... come, I have a car and we can firstly drive to my place before we go anywhere else"

I say, vaida grabbing their bag of supplies, neon goes to pick up her bat that somehow ended at the other side of the bridge they all follow me to my car, they all awkwardly fit in the back as milana sits with me in the front, and with that, we all drive off.
