You were already in love with him. Like how couldn't you? He is literally perfect. But you had been busy with work/school which meant you spending less time with him than usual.
You never said it out to him but you felt guilty for not showing him the love and affection you did earlier when you weren't so busy. You wondered if he had slowly started to fall out of love already.
But when you saw him being so patient, considerate, supporting and helping you with your school/work as much as he could, you couldn't help but fall in love with him all over again.
He would catch you admiring him while he would be helping/taking care of you, to which he would just respond with a smile and a head pat.

You were going through some tough time. You tried your best to hide it from Jay but he sensed something about you was off. While you closed the door of your room and snuggled up in your bed, crying your heart out in the dark, he would quietly walk inside and hold you in his arms, rocking you back and forth while softly whispering sweet nothings on your ears. He would wait for the time you would be comfortable talking about your problems and he would listen intently cause you were his world and ain't no way he would get distracted for a second while you were talking about your pain.
He would take care of you, cook for you, feed you, play your comfort song/movie while he would hold you close and wrap you up in your favourite blanket to keep you warm.
All this made you fall for him all over again.

He is the happiest little extrovert when he's with you. Even if you're having a rough day, he would never fail to entertain you. No matter how much the world pissed you off, you could always rely on Jake whenever you weren't in good mood. Like one look at his face staring at you, smiling widely with Layla in his arms and all your anger and frustration washes away. He is your medic and he makes you fall in love every single day.
