I was woken up next day by a hand shaking my shoulder. I groaned, turning over and covering my head with the pillow.

"Come on, rise and shine moony, you dont wanna be late for your first day."

Me and katie shared a dorm, we didn't have the luxury of having the dorm for ourselves like Elle did, she was lucky enough that she didnt have a partner to share her dorm with. Katie yanked the pillow and the blanket off me, ushering me out of bed. I reluctantly got ready for the day, who had the idea of starting school that early!

Once I was done, we headed towards the great hall to eat breakfast. Once there, we spotted Elle who came rushing to us.

"Good morninnnnnng!!" She said cheerfully, hugging us tightly.

We chatted a bit, agreeing to eat lunch together as now we had to go get our schedules on our tables and choose our electives. We decide to choose the same classes; Care of Magical Creatures and divination. Breakfast was absolutely amazing, the wide range of cheese, ham, eggs, marmalades, buttery toasts and pancakes just mouth watering. Not to mention the different kinds of juice and tea, even coffe was available along side a dish filled with all kinds of fruits. I immediately dug in, the food too good to be resisted. I glanced towards the Slytherin table to see Elle, when my eyes immediately caught a pair of green ones. I stared dumbfounded at Nott, all thoughts of finding elle dissappearing.

"Good morning sara!" The voice of Hermione startled me out of my daze. "Hii katie!" We both greeted her back as she , Ron and Harry sat on the table beside us. We were quickly swept into a conversation about the upcoming year, all thoughts of green eyes and fast beating hearts forgotten.

Today was Wednesday, which means our first period was divination. We went up the divination tower, which was a tedious trip. I arrived panting. The class was a round room with an arrangement of different decorative pillows with embroidered and beaded designs, arranged around small short rounded tables. It had red curtains draped all over the ceiling, and the strong smell of herbs and dried flowers filling the place. The teacher, Sybill Trelawney, was a middle aged woman who had beaded necklaces and crystal pendants stacked at her neck. She was wearing blue glasses that made her eyes look huge, with her hair all up as if she was electrocuted. She had a sense of insanity to her to be honest, her movements all jittery.

She greeted the students enthusiastically, and i was more than ecstatic to see Elle enter the class, followed immediately by the Slytherin gang, looks like they were getting real close. I quickly averted my gaze so it wouldn't meet Nott's, and sat on one of the pillows. Katie joined me, along Elle who hurried over once she saw us. To my unfortunate luck, the Slytherins sat down on the pillows next to us, with Nott sitting at my side. I turned to the others so that my back was facing him. Professor Trelawney cleared her throat to gain student's attention.

"Good morning class, I am Professor Sybill Trelawney and I will be teaching you the art of divination, where you dive along the oceans of the unknown and discover the secrets of the future. Now alot believe divination is no more that mere nonsense and lies, but oh it is certainly not. Divination is real, oh yes, and with it you will discover what lies for you in times to come."

During her speech, her voice has taken a mysterious kind of hysteric tone, not to mention her hands flying everywhere and big goggled eyes dancing across the room. I still didn't really believe what she said, hell I could just lie about the future and call it divination, but whatever it's still better than learning ancient runes.

As our first lesson, professor Trelawney assigned us to read our partner's tea leaves. With a wave of her wand, a set of embellished china appeared on each table, a tea pot with cups around it. We poured the herbal tea, the smells so strong I had to sneeze.

"Bless you" said a sound from behind me. It was Nott. I was too stunned to even turn around, why would he say that to me? I mean we weren't even friends? Maybe he thought it was Elle who sneezed and since they were getting close-

"Come on moony, drink your tea so I could read your future" Katie was laughing at the sarcastic tone of Elle. Their joking distracted me from my panicking hysteria. We sipped our tea, then started reading each other's tea leaves, weaving funny stories for each other.

"And katie look, you notice here this scattering of leaves looks like an explosion, I guess her life might change dramatically"

"Or she's just gonna mess up in potions and get on the even more worse side of snape" The girls were currently evaluating my cup, occasionally laughing at our nonsense readings.

The professor was passing around to check on everyone's work. Once she was near us, Zabini gasped as he pretended to read Nott's and Malfoy's cups.

"Oh my days guys, here Theo look, it looks like a storm of emotions is hitting your way, and if u notice this clear spot means that you will find eternal love and joy my friend. And here Draco, your cup has alot of white spots, which means you're getting your hair bleached soon mate!"

The way he was speaking has us struggling to contain our laughter, especially when Malfoy glared at him so hard that if looks could kill, he would've dropped dead in seconds. The teacher seemed pretty satisfied though, as she nodded and kept moving. Once she passed us, I couldn't help it anymore. I started laughing, and soon the others joined me. I guess Elle was right, maybe they aren't that bad.

I noticed Katie glance at Zabini, then lower her face shyly as he smiled at her. Elle noticed too because she winked me, both of us agreeing silently to tease her about it nonstop later. I was actively avoiding any eye contact with Nott, constantly facing away from him as I was pretty sure I would go full panic mode if I didn't. My brain was being stupid but I couldn't help it. The sound of a harsh and loud gasp from Professor Trelawney drew our attention to her. She was at the golden trio's desk, holding one of their cups. Her hands were shaking as she dropped the cup.

"Harry... oh dear.. oh merlin th-that is the grim in your cup!"

Her voice was shaking and she was hysteric. Harry looked at his friends, he looked confused and concerned at the same time.

"The grim is said to be a symbol of ... death" one of the students said hesitantly.

"Oh dear... Oh... That's enough for today, c-class is over" she dismissed us panickingly looking visibly shaken, but that's nothing compared to Harry who looked shocked and more than shaken. That poor boy can never catch a break.
