It's been a few hours since we left planet Furtopia and headed to a planet called Zestin. It was a dark brown planet, but it had a livable atmosphere for humans and anthros to breathe. The reason we are heading there is that a UFE outpost went quiet, and went to investigate and I'm assigned as a training mission with the girls.
I didn't like the idea since it could be dangerous for me. I'm not even allowed to have a rifle or even a pistol in my possession since I haven't done the training of using one and learned gun rules and safe use. The UFE weapons fire lasers or plasma like rounds and advanced energy that humanity doesn't know about yet.
I was wearing some uniform that represents the UFE and they were able to create one for human sizes. The girls and I were sitting on the bridge while Krystal steered the spaceship to our destination.
"We will arrive soon in a few hours. Go get some rest, you'll need it." Krystal suggested.
I headed to the ship barracks and was shocked that there weren't enough beds. I was able to take one and so did Dasha and Loona. Nika walked in last and noticed there were only three beds.
"What the hell?! Why are there only three beds?!" Nika shouted while asking.
"It was the only ship they had available. Since the Empress wanted every UFE soldier to patrol around the universe for any FOA attacks." Dasha explains.
"Just take the couch." Loona suggested.
"There is no way I'm sleeping on a couch. Hey runt, you should let a lady like me have your bed." Nika says as she comes to me.
"Ha! Hell no! You should learn the rule of calling dibs. And I called dibs on the bed." I said as I ignored her.
"You are sleeping on the couch. Now give me the bed runt." Nika says as she grabs me by the arm.
"Nika!" Dasha shouted as she pushed her away from me.
Nika raised her arms in defense after she was pushed.
"Quick acting like a bitch just because you didn't have your way. Now take the couch!" Dasha shouted.
Nika huffed and layed on the couch. I rolled my eyes and laid back down on the bed.
"I can't stand them." I thought as I rested and closed my eyes.
Three hours passed...
We felt a landing thud and the girls walked out fast before I did. I followed them out of the ramp and we were in Zestin. The atmosphere was so safe and breathable that we didn't Have to wear a helmet and an oxygen tank with our uniforms. But the land is barren and only dirt, but has some trees, and a few water lakes.
"The UFE outpost is not far from our location, but there was FOA presence since they raided the outpost. Stan since you can't have a rifle yet, you can have a K-bar knife, but stay close." Krystal explains as she gave me a knife as my only defense. It's better than using fists.

Krystal led us down the path and there was some UFE base over the hill. There were some FOA soldiers scouting around the perimeter while a few were loading crates and items into trucks.
"Looks like they are raiding the place. There are only four outside of the outpost. Nika, do some target practice by taking them out." Krystal says as she looks through her binoculars.
Nika assembled her advanced sniper rifle and started aiming and shooting all four enemies down in a row without missing a shot. Krystal signaled us to follow her quietly down to the structure since it was clear.
"Don't fall behind Stan. They will kill you on the spot." Nika says as she follows the others.
I quietly scoffed and followed inside. Krystal signaled us to stop at a corner as she peeks around. She signaled us to proceed down the hall into a huge garage where a couple of FOA Wolves were talking to each other.
"This shit sucks. I would rather go help fight in the front lines, not take over a small weapons cache post." One of the wolves said.
"We have orders." The other one said as he looks in his tablet
Loona tossed a grenade and a loud explosion instantly killed them and they assumed the rest of the FOA were alerted.
"Weapons free." Krystal says as we run down further into a huge laboratory. An FOA soldier tackled Loona which made her drop her rifle. I hurried and grabbed it from the floor and tried to aim at the enemy. I fired and it got the fox in the shoulder which made Loona have the upper hand and stabbed him in the throat.
"Thanks for not blowing my head off." Loona said as she took her rifle back and started firing at the enemies ahead.
Dasha pulled me back out of the way from getting shot.
"Stay behind us or you will get killed." Dasha said as she proceeded and bullet holed a tiger anthro peeking from cover.
Nika then threw a flash grenade and ran down further and killed the remaining enemies.
"Clear!" Loona shouted as she looked around.
"Looks like we beat them to the weapon vault." Nika says as she goes to the door.
"Mission complete! Reset!" Krystal shouted as she waved her hand.
The environment unexpectedly changed and I noticed that this was only a training simulation since enemy bodies vanished since they are only holographic illusions. And we were in an empty huge room as the environment vanished fully. I was confused and felt like I was losing my mind.
Nika started laughing at me and asked, "What's with you? You thought this was a real mission. It was only a damn simulation for your orientation training."
"Nika, shut up. He had to not know it was a training simulation anyway." Krystal says as she takes her helmet off.
"Well whatever. I'm going for a drink." Nika says as she leaves the simulator.
"Stan, you alright?" Krystal asked.
"Why did you trick me like that?" I asked.
"We wanted to make you know the truth of being ready to do combat. Every new recruit has to do a simulation like this. We never left Furtopia, The spaceship we got on was part of the simulation and everything was a simulation throughout the mission. Whoever we shot wasn't real. It was only holographics and guns we had, not actual ammo at all. That's the reason why we didn't give you a rifle yet so that you won't get suspicious during the simulation. We just need to help you learn how combat is." Krystal explains.
That explained all my questions I was about to ask, but I know Krystal will answer it before I ask it.
"Well since we have time, how about I show you around the city?" Krystal asks.
"I don't know." I answered nervously.
"Come on. It will be fun." Krystal says with a smile.
"Alright." I answered as I followed her out of the UFE base.
