"It's nice to finally meet you Mr. and Mrs. Batton." Shadow smiled as my parents walked in the house. "You as well shadow we heard great things about you." Mom said as my father helps remove her fur coat. "I heard many great things about you all as well" shadow smiled taking the coat and putting in the closet. "Such a gentleman" my mother smiled as we walked into the living room. "When rouge told us she was engaged we of course were furious that she didn't tell us she was dating. Yet once she told us who you were I knew my daughter found a good man. I have heard of your kindness shadow so I felt at ease knowing my daughter found someone with a kind heart" my father said. "Well you raised a beautiful strong and confident woman Mr and Mrs Batton." Shadow smiled. "Can I get you anything to drink?" He asked. "I'll have some red wine please" "as would I" my parents said and shadow nods leavings the living room to the wine closet. "Are you happy my little girl?" Dad asked. "Very happy daddy. More then I have felt in a long time." I smiled. "I'm so happy baby girl now I have set up a dress appointment at the most prestigious wedding dress shop in the city tomorrow." mom said and I know she won't take no for an answer since well me and my sister both eloped so now I get to have a real wedding. "Sounds like fun mom" I said. "Oh and I called shadows mother to have her join us" she clapped. Crash We jumped seeing shadow frozen in fear with the wine spilled on the floor and glasses broken. "Y-y-you in-invited my m-m-mother?!" He said and my mother nods. "Why is that a problem?" My father asked. "Well......" I began to say as shadow cleans up the mess. "My mother will ruin the appointment...." Shadow growled. "I highly doubt—" "Mrs. Batton my mother was here the other day and treated your daughter like she was a gold digger, a maid, and accused her of sleeping with my father. Each time I yelled at her for her god awful behavior. I'm not even inviting that horrible woman to our wedding." Shadow snapped and took the dust pan to the kitchen. "Is that true?" My mother asked. "Yes...." I looked down my mother nods and stands up before walking to the door and leaves. My father gulps once we heard tires screeching and faded into the night. "Umm dad where did she go?" I asked worried. He clears his throat and takes a deep breaths. "Expect a phone call from the police....." he said.

Later on as we were eating dinner my father gets a phone call from the jail. "Welp let's get your mothers..." he said and shadow and I looked at each other before leaving with my father. At the jail there stood my mother in a separate cell with her sleeves torn and a few cuts on her face. Shadows mother was in another all beaten up and apparently her fake hair extensions dangling on her shoulder. "Mephiles" my father said. "Vince" Mephiles said and the two looked at their wives then back at each other. "My wife got what she deserved. You really married a badass didn't you my old friend" Mephiles smirked. "Yes yes I did Meph" my father chuckled. They pay the bail and the charges were dropped on the condition that shadows mother is to stay away from me and shadow until after the wedding. This pissed her off and she storms out of the jailhouse. "Mom are you ok?" "Yes sweetie I'm ok" she smiled and walked to the door. "Are you sure?" Shadow asked. "Here's a little lesson for you both because I'm ok why? Because I was given the strength of many because" she smiled widely with some anger still in her eyes.
