Alice walked back to the dorm still as melancholy as the moment she had been left alone.Alice felt her hands shake by her sides and her legs began to feel as if they were made of invisible dust only just holding her up. She set foot back in the dorm, she flicked her wrist around to conjure a ball of fire in midair. It was blue unlike the usual orange glow, this made Alice freak out for a second or two. Her attention quickly turned toward Lia who was peacefully asleep on the sofa. It was a pretty sight to watch she seemed content at peace with the world even if so much be up in the air.
Alice watched her for a moment or two unaware a massive grin was growing across her formerly dull face. Alice walked over to Lia feeling bad for having to wake her up from her cat like slumber. Alice bent down beside her warm face. She blew a warm air from her hands into her face much like the air when you open the oven. Lia groaned and turned over.
"Alice what the fuck, where were you?" she moaned sitting up
"I had to walk" Alice explained biting the inside of her mouth.
"Why just ping you silly-"
"I-i can't" Alice whispered sorrowfully
"Oh, I'll teach you silly girl." Lia groaned sleepily
"Ha, we need to go to bed" Alice said putting her hands out and dragging Lia off the sofa. Lia stumbled over to her room and Alice faintly heard her fall onto her bed. Alice looked to the door of Aya's room for a moment and whispered
"I miss you, I wish you'd come back" before stepping into her own room, tucking the warm duvet over herself and falling into a seemingly peaceful sleep.
Alice didn't wake exactly she just seemed to appear, she found herself in an unknown room, it had four walls like any other normal room, but the floor was like a pool. However, Alice stood on top of this pool. Many coloured little balls flew around in the pool, one seemed to glide along the floor and rise up into the middle of the room floating.
It seemed to spread out until it formed a ghost, Aya's ghost.
"Aya? What happened are you alright? Are you alive? Who took you away from me? Away from us?" Alice's voice was filled with desperation as she asked her question. The ghost seemed to contemplate what she said for a moment and staired blankly back at her. Suddenly, the ghost transformed into a deep shade of violet purple - a furious and menacing hue. It swiftly darted towards her, emitting an ear-piercing scream that resonated with pure rage. The ghost seemed poised to inflict harm upon her, with an intensity that suggested she was the sole reason for its vengeful wrath.
Alice woke up and cried out in fear. She awoke her heart pounding in her chest, panting loudly and her arms shaking as they held her upright in her bed. Lia walked into the room, sleepily holding the door frame.
"What the fuck, you alright"
"What? Oh, um yeah sorry, go back to bed" Alice said feeling bad for waking her friend.
"Really? I've never heard anyone scream because their fine" Lia said stumbling over to the bed still half asleep.
"I had a nightmare, alright," Alice said tucking her knees into her chest.
"Right, shove over" Lia said
"Huh?" Alice said taken a back.
"Shove over, life's hard at the minute and I bet that nightmare was about Aya, right?"
"yea" Alice mumbled
"Well I didn't scream, but I've had my issues shoved over, I promise I don't snore" Lia said climbing into the double bed. Alice fell back into a calm, dreamless sleep once again.
