The sterile walls of the doctor's office seemed to close in on Izuku Yagi as he clutched his tiny hands together, trembling with anticipation. His parents, Inko and Toshinori Yagi, sat nervously beside him, exchanging worried glances. The quirk doctor, a stern figure with a clipboard, finally broke the silence that had been looming over them.

"Izumi Yagi," the doctor said, looking at Izuku's twin sister, who sat beside her brother, her eyes filled with curiosity and a hint of excitement. "You have a remarkable quirk, one of immense potential. It's a Telekinesis quirk, like your mother's."

Izumi beamed with joy, her green eyes sparkling. "Wow, that's so cool. Did you hear that Izu, Mama?"

"That's amazing Izumi! maybe I'll get the same one," Izuku replied cheerfully.

But then the doctor's gaze shifted to Izuku, and a heavy silence hung in the air. Izuku's heart pounded in his chest, fearing the worst.

"Izuku Yagi," the doctor began, his voice heavy with disappointment. "I... I'm sorry to say that you don't possess a quirk."

The world around Izuku crumbled. He felt like he was falling into an abyss of despair, the crushing weight of his own inadequacy pressing down on him. Tears welled up in his eyes as he watched his parents' attention shift entirely to his sister, their expressions filled with pride and hope for her future.

Even when they arrived home, Inko shared the news with Toshinori. Toshinori only gave his son a look that was filled with pity and disappointment, only to shift his attention to his daughter, who now has the same quirk as her mother.

As the days passed, Izuku's life took a dark turn. His friends, Katsuki, Ururaka, Kirishima, Todoroki, and Iida, learned of his lack of a quirk from Izumi herself. Their pity turned into laughter, their laughter turned into taunts, and their friendship turned into cruelty. Ururaka, the girl he had admired and fallen for left him heartbroken, and the bullying from his former friends became relentless and only worsened as time went by.

Even worse, Izumi, his own twin sister, joined in on the torment. The siblings, who had once been inseparable, now drifted apart as she embraced her newfound quirk, leaving Izuku to suffer in isolation. His parents no longer pay attention to him. He's not sure of the last time he had a conversation with them. They never cooked for him, read him stories, helped him with homework, or even celebrated his birthday, which is literally the same day as Izumi's.

No one was ever there for him. Sure, he did receive a gift from Aizawa for his 10th birthday, but Izumi found it and destroyed it. Ever since, the gifts he receives from his uncle have never been found. He figured that Izumi would find them before he could, so he eventually gave up. He wonders if Aizawa would still give him gifts if he knew he was quirkless. His parents never spoke about him to anyone to his knowledge.

Aldera Middle School, a place where dreams are cultivated for young aspiring heroes. For most students, it was a stepping stone towards their grand ambitions. But for one boy in the back row of the classroom, it was a daily struggle to just survive.

Izuku Yagi, now 14 years old, sat quietly at his desk, his green eyes fixed on the teacher at the front of the room. His messy green hair partially concealed his face, but it couldn't hide the determination in his eyes. Despite the years of torment, he still held onto his dream of becoming a hero.

Mr. Fujimoto, the middle-aged teacher with ashy blonde hair, droned on about the upcoming high school entrance exams. "As you all know, it's an important time in your lives. The decisions you make now will shape your future. Many of you have your sights set on UA High School, the most prestigious hero academy in the country."
