A year later
The memories of the past year weighed heavily on Izumi's mind as she arranged her belongings and decorated her dorm room. She couldn't help but reflect on the turbulent events that had unfolded during her first year at U.A. High School. While many of her classmates were excited about entering their second year, she found herself lost in thoughts about the recent battles and the mysterious vigilantes who had intervened.
The encounter with Stain, the Hero Killer, had been one of the most intense and terrifying moments of their first year. They had faced a deadly foe who believed in his warped sense of justice. But it was Aquashock and Embervenin who had swooped in to save the day, using their powerful quirks to defeat Stain and ensure his capture.
A shiver ran down her spine as she recalled her battle with Muscular. She had been on the brink of exhaustion, facing a formidable foe who showed no mercy. She remembered the pain and desperation when, just as Muscular was about to deliver a fatal blow, his eyes rolled back, and he fell lifeless. It was Embervenin, perched on a tree nearby, his claws coated in a green, venomous-looking substance. The memory of his cold, hateful glare after the battle still haunts her. She couldn't understand the reason behind that look, but it had terrified her.
The battle against the Liberation Army and the League of Villains had been the most brutal and chaotic. With All Might out of commission, it seemed that all hope was lost. Then, the vigilantes had arrived, riding two formidable dragons, and turned the tide of the battle. They had dealt with the villains ruthlessly, leaving only a few to escape. Even Shigaraki, who had grown stronger, couldn't escape their combined might. Embervenin had incinerated his arms, and the green mist from his mouth had incapacitated him. Aquashock had taken down anyone who tried to interfere. The results were devastating, with many villains killed or permanently damaged. It had been a grim sight to witness.
Despite the vigilantes' ferocity, they remained elusive, slipping away before they could be apprehended. Their actions had left a lasting impact on the heroes and students present.
But amidst these memories, Izumi's thoughts often turned to her twin brother, Izuku. She couldn't help but wonder if he was still alive and if he was among the vigilantes who had intervened. Every day, they continued to search for any sign of him, holding onto the hope that they would be reunited. She longed for the chance to make amends and be the sister she should have been from the start.
"Would he even recognize me if we found him?" she mumbled to herself, as she put a cherished photograph on her desk. It was a picture from their early childhood, showing the two of them smiling together.
She just hoped that one day, they would be reunited, and she could tell him how much she had changed and how much she cared.
Meanwhile...
Momo stood in front of her packed suitcase, her dorm room filled with the belongings she had accumulated over the summer. As she prepared to move back into the U.A. High School dorms for her second year
The battles with villains had been relentless. The emergence of the Liberation Army and the League of Villains had put everyone to the test, including the students of Class 1-A. Yet, throughout all these challenges, her thoughts frequently wandered to the mysterious vigilantes known as Embervenin and Aquashock.
She couldn't help but be intrigued by the vigilantes who always seemed to intervene at the most crucial moments. Embervenin, in particular, had captured her attention. There was something enigmatic about him, something that set him apart from other heroes and vigilantes. She had tried to understand what it was that drew her to him.
With her packing temporarily set aside, Momo moved to her desk and took a seat, a deep furrow on her brow as she began to mull over her thoughts. Her gaze fell on the photograph she had placed on her small bulletin board. It was a picture she had clipped from a news article that showed Embervenin in action. His posture was strong, and his blazing green eyes, obscured by the mask that concealed his identity, exuded a sense of fierce determination. He was burning with power, his flames as vibrant as his resolve.
Momo's curiosity had been piqued from the very first time she had seen him in action. There was an aura about him that was both awe-inspiring and terrifying. He was ruthless in his pursuit of justice; his methods were often brutal, and yet, there was an undeniable passion in his actions, along with Aquashock.
She had followed news reports and articles about the vigilantes whenever their involvement in criminal incidents was reported. What fascinated her most was their efficiency and the fear they struck into the hearts of villains. Their presence alone often seemed to be enough to end criminal activities.
As she continued to mull over her fascination, Momo couldn't help but wonder about the pair's true identities. What was their history, motivations, and the reason behind their relentless pursuit of criminals? She longed to unravel the mystery behind them, though she doubts she ever would.
As Momo's thoughts lingered on, she couldn't help but be reminded of another individual who had left a profound impact on her life. Izuku. Her fingers instinctively gravitated to the purple puzzle-shaped friendship necklace that she always wore around her neck.
Although they had not crossed paths since that fateful day, the gesture had established a connection between them. She wondered about Izuku's well-being and the path he had taken after that day. His act of heroism had left a lasting impression on her, and she couldn't help but hope that he was safe and well.
Finally, Momo realised that she had spent quite some time lost in thought. She sighed and began to resume her packing, folding her neatly arranged clothes and stowing away her belongings. As she meticulously packed her school supplies, she resolved to keep a closer eye on the news and reports surrounding the vigilantes in the upcoming school year.
Perhaps she will go out for a stroll when she's finished sorting her things out.
