Izuku had just finished preparing Eri's lunch when his phone vibrated, catching his attention. He glanced at the screen and saw Momo's name, causing his heart to skip a beat.
Momo: Hi, Izuku! I'll have some free time after school today. Would you like to meet up? There's a cafe in town where we bumped into each other the other week. How does that sound?
With Eri settled and Tyrell soon to return from his run, Izuku had a relatively free day ahead. He considered the idea for a moment, wondering if it would be a good idea to meet up with Momo again. He remembered the advice Tyrell had given him about being cautious
With a mix of hope and hesitation, he replied to her message.
Izuku: That sounds great, Momo. I'd love to meet up. Is the cafe not too far from UA? I'd hate for you to travel too much.
Momo: It's not a problem at all, Izuku. I can easily get a taxi to the cafe. I look forward to seeing you!
When Tyrell returned from his run, he was exhilarated from stopping a bank robbery. As he walked through the door, he couldn't help but relish the thrill of the chase, feeling the wind rush past him as he apprehended the culprits. He grabbed himself a quick bite to eat, his appetite well-earned after the morning's escapade.
"Yo!" Tyrell called out, making his way into the living room. Eri sat on Izuku's lap, watching cartoons on the TV. "You look like you've got something on your mind."
Izuku blinked and shifted his gaze from the TV to Tyrell. "Oh, Hey Ty. Yeah, something's been on my mind."
Tyrell grabbed a chocolate bar from the kitchen. As he took a bite, he raised an eyebrow and asked, "Well, what's bothering you?"
Izuku shifted on the sofa. "Momo. She texted me, and we're going to meet up later when she's done with classes."
Tyrell shrugged casually as he chewed a bite of his bar. "Sounds fine to me. Just remember the rules: don't reveal anything that could compromise our identity or the work we do. Oh, and don't die for-"
"I get it!" Izuku interrupted with a small blush on his face. "And it's not like that,"
Tyrell chuckled lightly. "I'm you to handle this properly. Besides, if you don't show up now, it might look suspicious. Just go and have a chat. Keep it light."
"Yeah, you've got a point."
Izuku appreciated Tyrell's reassurance but couldn't shake the feeling that something was off. It wasn't about Momo, but rather an uneasy intuition that had settled in the pit of his stomach. However, he pushed it aside, telling himself it was just his nerves.
Later...
As Izuku prepared to meet Momo, he took a moment to choose an outfit that was casual yet stylish. He wanted to look his best without appearing like he was trying too hard. Eventually, he settled on a comfortable pair of dark jeans and a well-fitted, deep green shirt. The necklace with the red puzzle piece pendant hung proudly around his neck.
Glancing at himself one last time, he smoothed his slightly unruly hair and decided it was passable. In his pocket, he felt the reassuring weight of his wallet and phone, two essentials for his outing.
Leaving his room, he made his way to the living room, where Tyrell and Eri were engrossed in their drawings. The little girl had a talent for art, and she seemed to enjoy drawing with Tyrell.
Double-checking to ensure he had his wallet and phone, Izuku couldn't help but smile as he watched Tyrell and Eri in the living room. Eri was engrossed in her drawings, and Tyrell was helping her with the colours.
