Naerys Targaryen daughter of King Viserys 'the peaceful' her mother was the Queen Alicent Hightower Naerys was born in 109 A.C. The twin sister to Princess Helaena Targaryen and younger sister to Prince Aegon then merely a year later her brother Aemond Daeron arrived not long after her and her sister's birth.

The princess is said to have been a happy girl in her infancy her Septa lady Maela as well as the alleged nannies of the Targareyn woman. Her septa spoke of how she believed the gods gifted the princess with a gift of beauty and faith in them more than any septa she'd ever met. The septa maela spoke of how she remembered the princess confiding in her and telling her of the dreams she had one in particular the septa remembers Naerys saying "Septa Maela I see the conquers in my dreams they tell me to 'keep a close eye on the ones around me as they could be the lead of your demise' I worry my dreams could come true one day I pray to the seven they never happen" septa Maela remembers the poor girl of only ten and two years of age being frightened when she told her of the dreams. Naerys had faith in the gods since she was a girl she found solace in the confines of the Sept when she came on hard days she would go with her mother Queen Alicent some days and when she'd go without she'd be in the presence of the sept with her sworn protector Ser Harrold Westerling.

Naerys was always quite close with her siblings and not as much with her half-sister due to their differences but Naerys always wished to reconcile with her eldest sister she wanted to be there to be known truly to her nephews she never wished heartache to fall upon Rhaenyra in her lifetime.

Prince Aemond Targaryen and his sister Naerys had been betrothed at the order of their mother not long after her half-sister brought to Naerys mother's attention she wished to betroth her son and Naerys nephew Jacareys Velaryon to the princess Alicent refused and had declared that small council meeting Her children had been set to be married. It was said that the princess and her husband in childhood never had seen eye to eye after she had claimed the well-known dragon 'the cannibal' nearly two years before Prince Aemond had claimed Vhagar. A serving girl for the late princess Naerys said after the girl had given birth to the couple's first children that they could see what she called "a blossoming family" but one specific king's guard during the reign of King Aegon ll details that it was not true and that it had been longer than some say due to what he had called the princesses "rebellious" phase of her life refusing to see her newborn babes or her husband an account says after the sixteenth name day of Naerys she was seen flying to the north after the account had reached the ears of King Viserys l she had not been seen for weeks after it.

Princess Naerys had few close friends One being Lady Alysane Mormont the daughter of lord Mormont and the other was Lady Shae Stark sister of Lord Cregan Stark the keep liked to call the three girls the epitome of ice and fire some making references to the looks between the three girls reminding them of the detailed descriptions of Maegors 'black brides' Lady Alysane being named "Tyanna of the Tower's revenge" the name ringing through the halls with the matching ones for princess Naerys and lady Shae being called "queen Rhaena and Elinor reborn" the three girls had always seemed to be attached at the hip with one you would be sure to find the other nearby up to something.

Naerys was a small girl at first the Lord's would call her 'Naerys the gentle' The girl had never seen why they called her the gentle when in true reality she was nothing like the names she was called she was never gentle nor soft as some liked to say but in reality, she was known for her almost intimidating presence when she was older she always seemed as if she was mad about something during her youth. A woman who claims to have been the wet nurse of princess naerys and helaena tells us that her father never wished for other children besides her brothers Helaena and Naerys had been an 'accident the gods sent to shame the king' the Wet nurse recounted in detail in her letter.
