This year the FIA have introduced one more team to the line up, making that 11 teams and 22 drivers in total. The newest team to join Formula 1 is DMG MORI PORSCHE and with the new team 2023 gets to see two more rookies along side McLaren's Oscar Piastri and William's Logan Sargeant. When speaking with Porsche's Team Principle Ashley Simmons, we at Sky were given the first exclusive to the newest drivers of the 2023 grid:

Only showed his potential on a handful of occasions in F2 last season, but as quick as anyone on his day. Won the opening race of the season and took two further podiums to finish his rookie season in ninth with Hitech Grand Prix. The Red Bull junior switch to Carlin for his sophomore year. Dovetailed his F2 season with a campaign in DTM, where he outperformed more experienced rivals and finished as runner-up.

2022 F2 Championship Winner. Following in her older brothers footsteps, Aelina showed her dominance in her first season of F2 taking home the trophy and being signed to Porsche on the spot. Part of the Ferrari Driver Academy, she was already set to be a reserve driver for her brothers team. Her speed and knowledge of the sport makes her the first woman to return to F1 in close to 50 years. It is never easy living in the shadow of sporting giants, but Sainz has shown the drive and disposition to deal with it
