Media day was okay, she had the media pen this time around which was at the best it could go. Thursday evening Aelina spent with her brother and sisters who had both come to watch the race along with their father. Thursday night had Aelina reconnecting with her family away from the pressures of the racetrack.

Seated at a cozy restaurant tucked away in the heart of the city, Aelina had joined her sisters, her brother, and her dad. Blanca sat next to Carlos opposite their dad, Ana sat beside Aelina she was telling Carlos and Aelina about a recent coffee machine fiasco at her workplace, her hands moving around her animatedly.

Aelina may still not have had the best relationship with her father or her mother, but she loved her siblings, and her siblings loved her. That's not to say her father didn't spoil her with all the jewels a girl could have. He just didn't stand by her racing career the way he did with Carlos and maybe one day he would come support her in her garage but for now she would accept the love she was getting from her siblings.

As the evening progressed, the conversation around the table deepened, they had managed to keep racing topics out of their talks for so long but now her father leaned forward and both Carlos and her exchanged looks. They knew what this meant.

"How are you feeling about the upcoming Grand Prix? I know it's been a challenging season so far, but have you been making sure you keep scoring and making the Sainz name proud?" he asked.

Aelina cleared her throat, she knew arguing with her father was not the way to go so she kept the forced smile on her face as she spoke, "it's been a tough season, the car has been up and down as you've seen. But I've been doing well, I've gotten quite a few points. I'm optimistic about this weekend. The team has some new upgrades, and I have a good feeling about how they'll perform."

Blanca reached out for Aelina's hand and rubbed the back of her palm in a comforting manner, "it's incredible to see how much you've grown as a driver, Lina. I remember when you first started karting, and now look at you – racing in Formula 1. I couldn't be prouder of you."

Aelina's heart swelled with gratitude at her sister's words. "Thank you, Blanca."

Ana patted Aelina's shoulder. "We're all behind you, hermana. No matter what happens on the track, you'll always have us cheering you on."
