Biography:

She rains from Madrid racing royalty.

A prolific title winner in karting, she made the transition to single-seater racing following in her older brother Carlos Sainz Jr's footsteps. Her constant point scoring finishing always in the top 5 underlined her raw speed and potential.

She then went on to finish third in British F4. Runner up in Formula Renault. Runner up in F3. Runner up in her rookie year of F2 losing to Oscar Piastri by a very fine margin. She then went on to win the 2022 F2 championship (by more than 50 points).

Aelina Sainz was then star picked as the number 1 driver for Porsche Racing and is the only rookie to sign a three year deal with a team from the very start.

She is also the daughter of double World Rally champion, Carlos Sainz, and has her father's raw skill.

It is never easy living in the shadow of sporting giants, but Sainz has shown the drive and disposition to deal with it - named the 2023 rookie of the year.
