AELINA SAINZ lived for motorsport. Ever since she was a kid, she followed her father and older brother's steps into the world of motorsport. Despite being a girl, she was never interested in barbies and make up, what she enjoyed was being in the garage studying the car and then wanting to race in that car.

When Carlos Sainz SR noticed his daughter's interest in motorsports, he made sure to sign her up for karting and she proved to be the best asset he had. She'd win almost every karting race, with the advantage of her father's advice on track, she quickly went up in ranks and by 2017 she was competing in FORMULA 4.

That fierce drive to win is what resulted in her clashes with fellow driver Oscar Piastri, who won the races she did in karting and was just as competitive as her. During their first season in formula 3 Oscar went on to win and get moved up to formula 2 while Aelina had one more year of formula 3 to do. This built up an intense rivalry between then, resulting in a few incidents on track.

However, by 2021 Aelina was back in good spirits winning the Formula 3 and moving on to Formula 2 where she won the championship in 2022, she had already secured a reserve driver seat for 2022 when Porsche reached out to her with a three-year contract. Her own seat in Formula 1, with a team that was said to bring new game to the grid. Without hesitation she took on the role, becoming the first female driver on the f1 grid in over 50 years.

Pre-season testing in Bahrain was underway and Aelina was given access to the car for day 1 and the morning of day 2 before her teammate Liam Lawson would be given his turn. Both their PR managers had made sure to keep the two young drivers away from the other because of the chaos they caused a few weeks ago, which meant they weren't allowed to be at the garage at the same time. This brought on a pout to her lips, but she accepted it.

Currently she was getting ready to start her day one driving. She walked towards the garage dressed in her fireproofs and race suit. There was an energy in the air that had everyone buzzing, like the team though being a rookie team was more than ready to showcase what they had. This would be here first time in the car, and she was more than excited to see the real thing come to life, sims could no longer satisfy her. Aelina proceeded to pull the sleeves of her race suit on and zipped it up, putting in her ear plugs and pulling on her balaclava and finally getting her helmet on. Her helmet was the same colour as her race suit, black and red, with the rearing horse Porsche logo along with her initials and her country flag. However, it's the top that had her personal touch to it, the drawing of the tree of life with the seven chakras and her number thirteen in the center of it all.

Once she was sure everything was secure, she stepped into the car and watched as her head mechanic, Martin made sure she was all secure in her seat. Then secured her seatbelts and connecter her to the radio before doing one last round of checks.
