Rescuing Riyu

Marina POV

I stayed in the cell for the past 3 days. At certain times, the Claws would give me food, but I seriously can't stay here forever. It was dark and I had nobody to talk to.  I wonder what they are doing to Riyu. Hopefully, the others will arrive. That's exactly what happened today.

While I was eating my lunch, I heard shouts.

"Hey! What are you doing?"

"Hey, who are you?"

A few seconds after that, the cell door burst open. And standing in front of me was... "Sora?" I asked, standing up.

"Marina?" Sora asked, entering and removing my handcuffs. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine," I said. "What did I miss?" Sora and I walked out of my cell and we soon saw Arin.

"Well, Imperium was capturing more dragons and is now using Photacs to help them hunt them," Arin replied. "Somehow, they made copies of Sora's version 2 Photacs and Sora was I guess forced to activate them all at once, so now they are alive,"

"But there is a way to shut them all down," Sora said. "I just need Riyu,"

"They took Riyu into DrLaRow's lab," I said. "Where are Lloyd, Kai, and Nya?"

"We released the dragons they caught so far, but got caught," Arin replied. "They used Photacs to attack us. Lloyd, Kai, and Nya are fighting them off with the dragons to give us time,"

"I guess now that we have to find Riyu," I said. "Come on,"

We ran out of the prison and ran through halls. We ran through a bunch of twists and turns and soon enough, we reached Dr LaRow's lab without getting caught.

When we got there, we saw Dr LaRow, a teenage girl with pink hair, Rapton, and Ras. They were looking at Riyu who was imprisoned in a glass box thats connected to some sort of machine. There was also an imprisoned blue dragon.

"What's the plan?" Arin asked. 

"I need you two to create a distraction while I free Riyu," Sora asked.

"Why you?" I asked. 

"Because I'm the only one who's been in this lab before and has used this kind of technology before," Sora replied.

"Oh," I said. "Fair enough,"

So Arin and I walk into the lab.

"Hey, let Riyu go!" Arin shouted.

"Hey!" Dr LaRow said. "How did you two sneak inside?"

"That's our prisoner!" Rapton shouted. 

""Whatever," Ras said. "Let's drain this dragon quick. Rapton, you and Jordana will deal with these kids,"

"Yes, Lord Ras," Rapton said. He and the girl with the pink hair activated their weapons and charged at us.

While Arin uses his grappling hook as a weapon, I grab my weapon from the Cragling Village and use it to take out the girl.

As we fight, I notice Rapton slamming Arin to the ground.

"You will pay for capturing Riyu!" He yelled, as I kick the girl backwards.

"Oh I forgot to mention," Rapton said. "We didn't capture your dragon. In fact, we wouldn't have done it without some help. Marina, why don't you tell them?"

Everyone looked at me. Even Sora looked up from her technology work. Ras, Rapton, Dr LaRow and the girl all had smirked faces while Arin and Sora looked at me with confused looks.

I sighed. "I-I was the one who captured Riyu and brought him to Imperium," I said sadly. "I'm sorry, but I didn't have any choice. "

"You captured Riyu?" Arin asked, shocked. "Why? How could you do that?"

"Yeah!" Sora said. "You are our friend! Riyu's our friend!"

"I'm sorry," I said. "I had no choice. Imperium gave me my powers and offered me to bring back my parents and give me all of my powers if I bring Riyu to them. But I was foolish enough to believe that they weren't going to give me what they offered,"

"Why do you want your parents when you have us?" Sora asked. "We are your friends. We are like your family! How could you betray us like this?" I was speechless,

"Wait until the others hear about this," Arin said. We continued to fight. Finally, Riyu's glass box was open. Riyu leaped out of the box and licked Sora. Arin rushed towards them.

"Come on, Riyu," Arin said. "We got work to do," All three of them shot a glare at me before freeing the blue dragon and leaving the lab. I guess they don't understand my action. Maybe they had never made a choice like this before.

I quickly knocked my opponent unconscious and followed them.
