Marina POV

In the morning, like yesterday, Lloyd wakes us up at dawn and gets us to get changed. After doing so, as well as brushing my teeth and eating a simple breakfast, Arin and I did the obstacle course while Sora was trying to fix our mech from the Mech Master 500 and Riyu chased a butterfly. I wonder why.

"I can do this." Arin encourages himself. "This, I can do." I watch as he does it, but falls off halfway.

"You need more practice," I said as he grunted as the obstacles hit him.  Lloyd does Spinjitzu to get him out. Now that the obstacle course was clear, I did the obstacle course. After a few attempts, I managed to successfully complete it again without failing. When I finished, I saw Sora talking to Lloyd and Arin.

"I'm not even sure I have an elemental power." I heard her say. "Tech Power?"

"I had not heard of your elemental powers, Sora," I chimed in. "We had no  idea how you got them." "I haven't heard of it either," Lloyd said. "But I've studied elemental powers all my life. I'm telling you, the true power is inside of you."

"No, I'm pretty sure they're Riyu's powers, and I just, like, borrow them or something," Sora said, shaking her head.

"True, but maybe the power was inside of you, like Lloyd said," I said. "But what if only Riyu or dragons like him can activate it."

"You might be right, Marina," Arin said.

"You saw me with the Martriach." Lloyd said. "She sent my powers into overdrive. I don't know why enhances elemental powers, but those were my powers, not hers." "If this power is in me, how come I can't feel it?" Sora asked.

"Every elemental master is different." Lloyd explained. "Cole could feel the power of Earth  in his guts. Nya said the power of Water  flows through her veins. Zane could sense Ice power in his mind." Our conversation was cut when Riyu was screeching.

We turned around to see him jumping against a wall. "What's got Riyu all worked up?" I asked.

"Something's behind that wall," Lloyd said. "Let's check it out!" We go outside of the monastery and saw what looked like the bounty that we flew to the Land of Three Mountains. Except that it looked...old?

"No way!" Arin said

"What am I looking at here?" Sora asked.

"That's the old Bounty!" Lloyd said happily. "Kai took that ship to search for the other ninja. This must mean his mission was a success!"

"Wait," I said. "There's two Bounties? An old one and a new one?"

"Yep," Lloyd said. The ship flew towards us without stopping.

"Incoming!" Lloyd yelled. We dodge out of the way as the bounty flew past us and lands in front of us. "I'm thinking Kai's mission was not a success." Sora said.

"Come on!" Lloyd said. We get onto the old Bounty in different ways. Arin used his grappling hook, Lloyd uses Spinjitzu, and Sora, Riyu, and I rode the SA Mark 01. As soon as we got there, Lloyd starts to inspect the ship.

"Kai! Kai!" He called out. "Battle damage? What did Kai get himself into?"

"I don't know," I said.

Suddenly, the ship starts to fly in a random direction towards some mountains.

"We should probably steer away from those mountains." Arin said. Lloyd ran toward the controls, grabbed onto the wheel, and tried to steer the ship.

"Oh, no!" Lloyd yelled. "The steering is jammed!" Sora goes below deck "The steering column isn't attached to the rudder anymore!" She called back.

"That's bad, right?" Lloyd asked.

"Can you fix it before we crash?" Arin asked.

"Riyu, my tools!" Sora yelled. "Marina, help me!" Riyu pushes the toolbox down the hatch that led to below deck and I get through it. Together, we quickly use the tools to attack the steering column to the rudder.

"Try that." Sora called out.

"Try what?" Lloyd asked.

"Ugh." Sora groaned. "Now!" I look out of the hatch to see Lloyd steering and braking, which avoids a direct collision with the mountains. But because of how old it was, not to mention the battle damage, it still crashed. We tumble over to the floor.

"Should we be taking notes?" I asked, sitting up

"Let us never speak of this." Lloyd said, holding the broken steering wheel. We enter the cabin in the Bounty and search for clues.

"There's gotta be some clues about where the Bounty came from." Lloyd said. "Scorch marks? Did Kai attack his own ship? Doesn't make sense."

"I doubt he made this massive blast hole." Arin said. "Something huge hit this."

"Ugh. And why is there a puddle in here?" Sora asked. "Water and fire?" She was right. She was standing in the middle of a huge puddle. Lloyd picked up some paper and a pap.

" These are definitely Kai's notes." He said. "Looks like he was filling in this map as he went. And he only got to here." He pointed to a place on the map.

"That would be in the direction this ship was coming from." I said.

"Then that's where we need to go." Lloyd said. "It's up to us to figure out what happened to Kai."

"Good thing we've got a new Bounty." Sora said. So we got off the old ship, returned to the monastery, and board the new Bounty. Soon, we started to head towards the place on the map.

"So, if the old ship came back without Kai, does that mean Kai's ..." Arin said, as his voice was trailed off.

"Maybe he got into trouble and sent the Bounty back on autopilot to get help." Lloyd guessed.

"It must have been pretty serious trouble for him to abandon ship." I said.

"Serious trouble is something Kai's great at finding." Lloyd said. "Of course, there's the other explanation that this is all an elaborate trap to capture and destroy us."

"Right." Sora said after laughing. " What are the odds that someone would do all that?"

"In my experience, everything is a big trap about half the time." Lloyd said.

"Seriously?" I asked.

"No. More like two-thirds of the time." Lloyd replied. The Bounty was silent as we continue to ride towards the place on the map, where hopefully, we will find Kai.
