Pest Extermination Quest

"Yosh, after a week of rest it's time to look for serious quests in the adventurer's guild" Akira said when she and her party arrived at the adventurer's guild building in Colceth city.

"Alright, here's the main scenario for you" Uriel speak to Akira telepathically. "There will be someone who wants to make an emergency quest to eradicate the pest monsters that are about to attack Colceth city. Accept the quest, and kill as many monsters as possible".

"I see, it's complicated" Akira commented while pretending to read the quest paper posted on the guild board.

After a few minutes, a man entered the adventurer's guild building. The man is middle-aged looking with white hair and wore luxurious blue clothes.

"I am the mayor of Colceth city, Lawrence Decimi would like to make an emergency quest" The man said loudly so everyone in the guild building can hear his words.

"My scouts has returned from a surveillance mission on the city's outskirts, they informed me that today there will be a large number of Elite Slimes about to attack the city. I want all capable adventurers to accept my emergency quest" The mayor spoke at length.

After discussing with a receptionist, Lawrence spoke again "The guild and I have reached an agreement. All adventurers who successfully kill an Elite Slime can keep its core and can be sold in this guild for 100 Aurum per core".

"100 Aurum!" An adventurer was shocked.

"That's expensive!" Another adventurer said.

"Then count me in!".

A number of adventurers started running out of the guild building "let's go, everyone! We should participate in this quest too!" Akira urged her party.

"The pest monster in question is an Elite Slime huh" Akira muttered.

"Individually?" Lucy objected because she knew that her power is mainly for heal her party mates, not killing monsters "Don't worry, just come with me. We'll split the money" Elise calmed Lucy down while the bespectacled girl just made a sour face.

"Here they come!" A male adventurer shouted.

The other adventurers got excited when they saw the slimes approaching the city gate.

"Those are Elite Slimes?" Akira observed the bodies of the slimes, they were as big as watermelons and have yellowish golden body.
