"Can you walk a bit faster?" Jungkook asked with a huff. Ari scowled but tried to match his pace, failing.
The mall was crowded. Whose idea was it even? Why would they bring her to such a place when her life was in danger? He grunted internally.
A glance to his side only added to his worries. Ari was too small and she was struggling to walk, scrambling through the crowd that was buzzing around them like bees.
Ugh! She's gonna get trampled at this rate.
Without another thought, he scooped her in his arms, drawing a startled squeak from the little one. He settled her on his broad shoulder in a sitting position before holding her legs for purchase. She bounced with every fast stride but when they reached the parking lot and he deposited her inside the car with a relieved sigh, he noticed her beautiful smile for the first time since they met.

"Sir, young miss has arrived and is in her room now," Saem, his butler announced.
Jimin nodded, putting his whiskey glass down. "I'll be there. Did she eat?"
"Yes, sir. Mr. Jeon said they ate outside. Should I ask the maid to prepare her bath and prepare her for the bed?"
"Yeah."
"You may also need a quick shower, sir." He scrunched his nose in distaste. "Young miss seems to be sensitive to smells."
"Eh." He cleared his throat, Namjoon's words floated in his mind. "Okay."
The butler bowed and left him to his devices. They had a lot of adjustments to do to accommodate his daughter. Shit.

"Ari," Jimin called as soon as he entered his daughter's room after a quick shower.
His daughter, who was talking to Aera excitedly, showing off all the things scattered around the room turned to face him with wide eyes.
"Daddy!"
She jumped to her feet and looked as if she wanted to run toward him but there was a certain hesitation that caused her to pause. She looked uncertain and Jimin felt the same awkwardness, which belatedly made him realize the times they met in person was numbered and lasted less than an hour each time.
