The next day at dinner the boys, Shinobu, Aoi and Kanao were eating away

Tanjiro turned to Aoi "You know Aoi-san, your cooking reminds me of my mothers cooking back when me and Nezuko lived on the mountain" He complimented her

Aoi looked at him with horror in her blue eyes "I am so sorry Tanjiro-kun" she said ghostly

Tanjiro looked at her, still smiling "Why are you sorry?"

Aoi's expression didn't change "Doesn't it pain you, thinking about your mother?"

Tanjiro's jaw fell open "NO, I MEANT THAT AS A COMPLIMENT AOI-SAN, I'M SORRY" he said apologetically. He felt a sharp glare on him He realized something "Hey Aoi-san, who were your parents?"

Aoi's face sunk "My family, just like a lot of people in the corps, fell victim to the demons. Just like yours"

The table went silent Zenitsu looked at the girl pitifully "I'm sorry Aoi-san"

"It's nothing, what about you, Zenitsu? Why'd you become a demon slayer"

"My parents abandoned me, I was taken in by an old man who was a former hashira, he took me under his wing"

"Former hashira? The only thunder hashira we've ever had was a man named Kuwajima Jigoro"

"Jigoro was his first name I think, I just called him Jii-chan"

"You called a former hashira Jii-chan?'" Tanjiro asked

"he was really old, and he's practically my grandfather"

"That's so sweet Zenitsu-kun" Kanao commented

"Thanks Kanao-chan" he said dotingly

He was met with Tanjiro's glare after that

"Aoi-san, Inosuke-san" Shinobu called "Can you two clean the dishes today?" She asked, noticing how Inosuke was glaring at Tanjiro out of jealousy earlier

"Yes Kocho-sama"

"Aoi. . ." Shinobu said "What did we say about the 'Kocho-sama'?"

"Right, Nee-san" Aoi said

I just HAD to add a jealous scene for Inosuke

It was a necessity
