8. Solution.

Nayantara's pov

I was in the garden area, enjoying the company of my young niece and nephew. As they played nearby, I simply observed their joyful antics.

It was morning time. The little sunlight was keeping us warm. As it was winter season. People were busy doing their work.

I was enjoying when I got disturbed by Kashmira coming towards me. Nowadays, I get scared whenever she came searching for me, as I thought of a bad news.

"Nayan... Nayantara, I heard that...that a letter has came from Rajgarh."

She said, taking deep breaths in between.

Letter? From Rajgarh? Suddenly my heart beat rose thinking that Anirudh had sent a letter after five months, during these five months, we had received no news from Rajgarh. We didn't know what was happening there.

"What letter?"

I asked her, as I stood up, my heart was beating so fast.

"I heard that...that They are planning to rage a war against Somgarh."

She finished making me stumble.

War? No, it could not happen. We were not in the condition to fight a war, let alone win. Anirudh would not do this. I knew him.

I looked at her and asked,

"Where is bhaisa?"

"He is having a meeting with the officials."

I nodded, and started running towards my bhabhi sa's chamber as I knew everyone would be there except my father and brothers. They all would definitely know about it.

I entered my bhabhi sa's chamber. The atmosphere in the chamber was tense. There were my maasa, bhabhi sa and choti bhabhi sa. Everyone was looking worried.

"Bhabhi sa."

i called.

They all looked at me and they became more tense after seeing me. I went near my bhabhi sa and asked,

"What happen?"

She hesitated a bit but then spoke,

"A letter has came from Rajgarh stating that they have decided to rage a war against us. They have given us a one week time to prepare for the war!"

What? I couldn't believe it. I didn't understand why he would do such a thing. He was fully aware that we were not prepared for the war, yet he still chose to declare war on us. I always thought he was an honorable warrior who would never attack the vulnerable.

"But Anirudh can't do this. I know him he will never fight against someone who is weak. And currently our kingdom is weak, surely it is someone else who is doing this."

I said, not believing that Anirudh could do this.

"As the king of Rajgarh is no more, then all the responsibilities including decision making are of Anirudh as he is the crowned prince of Rajgarh."

Bhabhi sa, replied clearing my misunderstanding that Anirudh was the one who decided it.

"Now....what we will do? we cannot fight."

I wisphered, looking down thinking of so many things and results if we decided to fight.

"Your brothers are in the meeting room, surely they will find some solution."

Maasa said, looking at me. She was sitting on a one seater sofa. I nodded and went towards the balcony to clear my mind.

Kashmira also came with me in the balcony and sat beside me. She squeezed my hand gently assuring me that 'its was okay and everything will be fine'.

After sometime someone came in the chamber and I stood up going inside. I saw my elder brother. My younger brother and bhabhi sa was not there. Before I could ask him something he stated,

"I am going to Rajgarh."

Making everyone shocked. My bhabhi sa came near him.

"What.. but why?"

She asked.

"As we are not in the condition to fight a war. We have decided to go to Rajgarh and settle everything without war."

He answered.

"But what if they don't agree to settle things outside."

Bhabhi sa asked.

"They will, if they have given us a one week time. Then I am sure they are waiting for us in their kingdom."

I was just standing there listening to everything. He was right if they had given us a time, they were surely waiting for bhaisa. Was it some kind of trap?

Bhabhi sa nodded her head. Maasa came towards bhaisa and asked,

"When are you leaving..?"

"In an hour."

Bhaisa replied, to which maasa nodded. And again she asked,

"Did your father know about all this?"

Bhaisa nodded and said,

"Yes he was with us in the meeting room and he also agreed to settle everything outside without the war."

"Where is he?"

She asked,

"In his chamber, resting."

She nodded her head and went away leaving us all alone.

Bhaisa looked at me and came towards me. He caressed my head gently and wiped my tears. I was crying thinking about everything.

"Everything will be fine.. don't worry."

He said, with a slight smile. He was unable to witness my tears. His love for me was profound. I nodded in agreement and embraced him, feeling his comforting pat on my back.

I looked at Kashmira, she nodded her head and we made our way out of bhaisa's chamber to give couple some privacy to talk.

After some time everything was done. We found ourselves standing at the entrance of our grand palace, bidding farewell to Bhaisa and few officials who were departing for Rajgarh. However, my younger brother remained behind, as it was necessary to have someone present within the palace in case of any unforeseen events in the absence of the king.

My bhaisa touched my father and mother's feet, Taking blessings before leaving.

While my brother was leaving, a sense of coming doom crept over me. Gradually, a feeling of resentment towards Anirudh, my love, began to take root in my heart. I had never imagined Anirudh in this light; he had always been kind, caring, and affectionate towards me. That I never imagined him as someone  cruel?

As the gates of the palace closed, I wisphered

"I will Never forgive you Anirudh!"
