CW: There is spoken about a car accident and a mention of suicide, but it gets better now. And It's a really long chapter, especially if you read it on your phone.

When I wake up and open my eyes everything is blurry. There is bright light and I try to blink. I feel like I'm lying in a bed. God damn it, that can't be true, can it? Am I back to that crazy orphanage? But when my eyes finally start to get used to the light, I am not in the orphanage at all, but in a hospital. I look around and see a doctor walking in with someone, and when I look at them closely I see who that person is. The young man! The doctor comes to me. "There, Emily, are you okay?" she asks, but she doesn't let me answer, because she continues talking straight away. 'Your brother here told me what happened, he told me that you had run away from home, and that he was instructed by your parents to take care of you. When he found you, you were lying hypothermic under a tree while it was storming, that's life-threatening, you know? He saved your life by getting you out of there, risking his own life, so be grateful to him. Here in the hospital we have done some tests, and you are still in shock, but you will get over that, but we also noticed that you are a little less weight than most people of your height and age, has this been a long time? ' I blink my eyes. "I hadn't eaten or drunk for a day and a half, or walked a lot, and I don't eat much else because it's just not my favorite thing to do." I answered honestly, the young man looked at me worriedly. 'Well, then I advise you to eat a little more, lots of carbohydrates, fats, salt, sugar, not too much of course, and also just fruit and vegetables and eggs. Then we will schedule an appointment for next month for a check-up, your brother will help you with the dining area, and then you can go now.' She smiled and walked out of the room. The boy (actually I don't think he's a man at all) stood up and grabbed my bag that was at the end of the bed. He helped me out of bed and helped put on my shoes. He took me out of the hospital, and once we got outside I looked at him. I opened my mouth to say something, but he put a finger to my lips and said: "You can ask and say anything in a moment, but first we have to go to my apartment," he said, I raised my eyebrows: "And you think I'm going to take a creep like you to your apartment so you can rape me there?" he smiled, "And you think I'm going to do that when I've saved your life not once, but twice. There is also such a thing as gratitude, but if you really want to screw up again, go ahead, I say, because then I won't be there to save you.' He looked straight at me and I could tell he meant it. He said it mockingly, but it was true, I was even ashamed, and I felt my cheeks turn red. "No, sorry, I didn't mean it that way, I'd like to come with you, thank you." I looked straight at him and smiled. 'Well, I think you actually meant it, and of course I understand your reaction, but I'm not an old man, maybe 2 years older, but it sounds like I can't do much. And next time, think before you say something, to avoid complicated situations.' At the last point he winked, and I blushed. "I'll do my best for you, but I'm not the type to think before she speaks?" I think enough, but certainly not in the right way.' I sighed and added: 'You saw that.' He chuckled and nodded.

Once we were in his apartment, we sat down on the couch, he now turned to me and lo and behold: 'You can now ask or say anything you want, as long as it goes one by one and as long as it is not insulting or is intimidating to someone, and if I don't want to answer a question, you'll have to accept that." I nodded and started with my first question. "What's your name?" I asked. 'Unfortunately for you, I don't want to answer that yet, when I know you better I will tell you, but not yet. Just call me Jake for now.' I frowned. "Okay, then you can call me Princess Ivy." I said and looked at him mockingly. He just chuckled and said, "Emily, your name was in your bag, you had to be identified or I couldn't pretend to be your brother, which is helpful because I assume you wouldn't want to go back." I sighed. "But I still prefer Princess Ivy." I said haughtily. Jake laughed and bowed deeply, "But of course Your Highness, I wouldn't dare call you Princess." We burst out laughing, taking a moment to get serious again.
