I've learnt a lot in the first day out as a trainer. How powerful Pokémon can be, and how puny humans are in comparison. Power isn't the question because Pokémon have it already. But the intelligence? Not so much. That's why they need us. Any Pokémon can train hard, but till they teach themselves the right way, they won't make full potential. It's not just about training hard. It's also about training smart, i.e. the right kind of training.
Ash closed his journal, pulling out his Pokéballs and sending out his Deino and Absol. Then he pulled out his Pokédex and scanned them.
Deino, the Irate Pokémon.
Type: Dark / Dragon.
Gender: Male.
Ability: Justified.
Class: SSR+.
Status: Pseudo- Legendary.
Moves: Dragon Rage, Dragon Breath, Dragon Pulse, Dragon Dance, Dark Pulse, Zen Headbutt.
Item(s): None.

Absol, the Disaster Pokémon.
Type: Dark.
Gender: Female.
Ability: Super Luck.
Class: B+.
Moves: Dark Pulse, Night Slash, Shadow Claw, Close Combat.
Item(s): None.

Ash whistled. He'd known that Deino had grown pretty powerful in the four years of training and was ready for evolution shortly. But he hadn't the slightest idea of Absol's power. They'd take the League by storm.
Just then, they neared a bend in the forest, coming across a group of Geodude and Graveller. That didn't interest him.
Golem weren't known to be speedy or versatile.
But it was what was being pummeled by the Rock/ Ground- Types that caught his attention.
A Bagon.
Known to grow into the vicious Salamence, the Bagon line was something trainers would literally sacrifice an arm and a leg for. The Dragon/ Flying- Type (although it remained a Dragon- Type till its evolution) was a Pseudo- Legendary like Hydreigon. Literally of SS+ Class,   Bagon was going to give him a rapid boost.
In minutes, they were on the group. Ash had Deino supercharge himself with Dragon Breath and launch a variety of Dragon- Type attacks on the bully Pokémon. Then Absol leaped into the fray, giving Deino time to supercharge himself further.
Result: A hundred Pokémon lay knocked out brutally on the ground.
Ash picked up Bagon and headed towards Viridian City.

Bagon looked at the trainer with incredulity.
"Bae, Bagon?"
He was trying to confirm whether Ash Ketchum- or so he was known, really wanted to train him.
He'd been looking for a strong trainer for months. One that could train him to the absolute best. This human (capable of taking out a hundred Pokémon with only two, breeding a Deino and caring for him), earned points in his proverbial book. Problem was, most strong trainers wouldn't want a weak Pokémon like him. They'd want a strong Salamence.

Bagon, the Rock Head Pokémon.
Type: Dragon.
Gender: Male.
Ability: Moxie.
Class: SS+.
Status: Pseudo- Legendary.
Moves: Dragon Rage, Dragon Breath, Iron Head, Body Slam, Tackle.
Item(s): None.

"Bagon, you're a really strong Pokémon. I'm looking to assemble a team with potential. You're a storehouse of potential, Bagon. If you come with me, we'll become the strongest together... would you?"
Bagon immediately liked his trainer.

An old, white- haired man came into the Pokémon Center an hour after Ash's departure.
"Excuse me, Nurse Joy. Have you seen a young trainer, black hat, jacket, cape and boots, around? He had a Bagon. "
"Oh, yes! I did. But he's left for Pewter City. "
"Really? And what did he call himself, Nurse?"
"Red, but..."
"That’s all I needed to know. Metagross, Hypnosis. Then wipe her memory and Teleport."

(A/N: 1. No, it's not Steven Stone. Steven Stone can't do such a thing. Keyword: old. And Steven has silver- blue hair. I know I portrayed him as a villain, but still...
2. Yeah, Bagon joined Ash. I told you there'd be some major Pokémon that won't be negotiable.
3. Why did Deino become so powerful? He trained four years with Ash, duh. I held off his evolution for you to see.
4. Why aren't there only four moves? I ditched it. Simple. It limits plot development, Pokémon power and even battle strategies.
5. And Ash's mom. Yes, she's dead. Her death will be very significant. 6. No spoilers, sorry. I feel that spoilers strongly ruin the plot of a story. A major part of the story depends on how well I'm keeping the secrets.
Review and comment. Please vote for your Pokémon, and what girls should I give Ash (some are non- negotiable, again: The author needs some choice too). And comment. After all, the story's in your head.
