Everything went blurred when suddenly someone hit something on my head. I turned around to see the face but couldn't, everything in front of my eyes became dark and then I went unconscious.

I don't know what happened after that but when I woke up, I was in my bedroom. Namtan was sitting next to me and the doctor was looking at me with a genuine concern.

I tried to sit by taking support from the headboard, the doctor helped me. My head's still heavy and even opening my eyes is getting difficult.

"Khun Gemini, are you okay?" Namtan asked as she came closer to my feet.

"I am. Just a little headache." I replied and looked at the door, it's like... I could feel something, it's like... I was waiting for someone to show up. But disappointment covered my mind as no one did.

"It can't be little, Khun Gemini. You've got 14 stitches on your head." The doctor Khun Aun said.

He placed the file on my lap and asked me to look at it.

"You were hit with the metal rod last night. Do you know how severe this is? You were almost about to get internal bleeding in your brain. Some poor people who live at the corners of the streets found you unconscious on the road. Anything could've happened, you idiot. And where the hell were your bouncers? Why didn't they do anything about this?" Aun is also my friend but just for the formality we call each other with respect.

Namtan smiled and excused herself to give us some privacy.

"At least, I'm alive." I said and tried to grab a glass of water.

Aun stood and helped me to catch the glass. He tore a packet of straw and placed it inside the glass.

I took one sip and eventually my face became shrink. "What the hell is this?" I asked.

"No plain water from now on! You'll be drinking medicated liquid for a complete month." He said.

"Ain't no way... I can't-"

"You have to. AND you also won't be working for a complete month. Just bed rest. If you want to work then hire a manager for you who can be your representative!" He stood up and took his white gown out.

"I have Namtan, she can represent me." I replied.

"She is your secretary, you also need a manager. Don't make me teach you business." He said and grabbed his suitcase. He bid me bye and left.

Namtan was on the door and she probably heard what we were talking about. I don't know...

"Khun Gemini kha, I know I have no authority to speak in your personal business but I want to say something." She bowed in front of me.

"Go on." I replied.

"I think, Khun Aun is right. You should hire a manager. If you want, I have a person to suggest." She said.

"Hiring... I can think about it but doing it in such a rush will be idiotic, khun Namtan. But since you have someone in your mind, you can send them to meet me. You've been such an amazing employee, I think the person you are suggesting might be good just like you and your work." I said with a smile. Deep down she knew... I don't trust people easily and Namtan is pretty aware of it. She knows that I don't trust anyone.

"Okay kha. I'll send him to you." She said and left.

I tried to grab my mobile phone from the side table to check updates of my company. I just woke up it's been a whole day and there's no text, no calls from Mark. This is unusual. Mostly he likes to eat my brain all day if he gets the chance. And I haven't even seen him ever since I woke up.
