For the first time in my life calling a cab was such a tough job. Indeed, it's understandable because we were in the middle of a Dense forest where no one in their life will come and this place is famous for being haunted. According to people's theory who live nearby, there was a old women who got brutally raped and killed here and it's her's soul that roams around in this forest. Many people have been found dead here and they believe it's the same woman behind it, her dissatisfied soul. Bullshit
"God knows how long the cab will take to come." I was mumering on my own tapping my right feet on the ground.
I wasn't feeling guilty at all, but the only thought that was running in my mind was Mark. Why was he looking at me like that? Did he recognised me?
"Khun Fourth!" Gemini called me from the distance, he was carrying Mark by supporting his body through shoulder. I ran towards him and helped him carrying Mark.
"Is the cab here?" He asked.
"None is available. It's a restricted area." I replied being unbalanced. Mark was shit ton heavy.
"If you can't handle it, just leave. I'll call someone." He said and pushed me aside.
I helped him and this is how I'll be treated? Ain't not way!!!
"This is wrong, Khun Boss. You can't act like that with me. At least not when I pulled you out from such a big mess." I said.
"You'll leave or not?" He said without looking at me. His old fucking habit.
I turned around and left them, I hope they fucking die... Maybe the old woman's soul can eat them both alive. I'll be satisfied as hell!!!!
As I accelerated through the winding path, the roar of my bike echoed in the night. I pulled over to the side, fumbling to put on my helmet, the cool breeze carrying a sense of urgency. My phone buzzed with a call notification from... Gemini. I hastily inserted my earpods and answered.
Gemini's voice crackled through the connection, "Where the hell are you, Khun Fourth? We need to figure out how to get out of this place!"
"Wasn't it you who asked me to leave? Why do you need my help to get out of there huh?" I replied, my frustration evident.
Mark's weakened voice joined the conversation, "Gemini, take me out of here please, it's painful... I need help."
I scoffed, "Why don't you call your bouncers, Khun Boss? Might be easier than carrying him on your shoulders and calling me."
"Fourth, please." My heart skipped a beat, again? Calling me like that...
"Fine. It's gonna take a while, I'm almost in a city and I'm bringing medical help with me." I said before hanging up the call.
"Wait, wait. Listen to me. Be quick, it's... It's strange here." Gemini said in a low voice, almost a whisper.
"Don't tell me... Did you see a female ghost? I'm not coming." I teased him.
"Yes- I mean no!!! No ghost here. Just come and get the medical help too." He said hunged up the call. I turned on the bike again and started to run it at a slower pace.
A mafia like that? Huh... Fucking scared cat.
"Fourth, are you sure you'll go back to them?" Luke asked. I asked Luke and Ford to be connected with me through the specialized Bluetooth device which I made. It is designed in such a way that we can hear calls of the other person while being connected; not just that, it can also help to send alert msg to our team whenever in need.
"I will. But you both, keep following me like you did before, but from afar. Also, be aware! I don't want them to know your existence near me or them. They shouldn't know about you both. If something happens to me, you all can back me up by following wherever they'll be taking me." I replied being on my way back.
"I'm scared, What if something-"
"If it will happen, then you all will be responsible to move my incomplete revenge further, I trust my team with my whole life." A smile and a droplet of tear ran through my face.
"The way they were talking... I feel something is off. Aren't you all noticing that North has started to call Fourth informally?" Ford said, curiosity obvious in his voice.
"I felt the same... It is possible that they have something in their mind." Luke said.
"Is it the same thing you also thought? Is that why you are acting strange... Fourth?" He added.
My voice got stuck in my vocal chords, they all know how mentally strong I am and that's why when a sob left my mouth they both got startled.
"Fourth? Are you cryin" Ford asked.
"It can be my... Last conversation with you both. But, don't be weak if I'm not there. Okay?" Weird silence occured between us. None of them spoke a single letter.
"Now that's an overacting... "Luke said.
I laughed so hard at his statement that I almost got disbalanced on the bike.
"Damn... You scared the shit out of us. I'll kill you Fourth! Fuck you!" Ford shouted through the other side of the phone.
"Don't worry, let me call the ambulance first and keep following. If something has to happen, it won't be this soon. I know North since so long, he would never take a step that fast." I assured them.
"Okay, keep following me now!" I said and called the ambulance side by side. I gave them Gemini's current location and asked them to reach them first.
As I kept riding on the bike the ambulance van came beside me, it was my own team. I signalled them to go ahead as I followed the van from behind.
We reached and took Gemini and Mark inside the van. Some of Gemini's bouncers also came in the meantime and they followed us throughout the way.
"He'll be alright... Don't worry." I assured him as I saw him staring at Mark who was now unconscious. That was the first time I saw tears in his eyes.
My heart clenched while watching him. It was a weird kind of pain seeing him like this, though it was all I've been waiting to see my whole life. My palm automatically went towards his shoulders and caressed him, while he released a sigh and broke down in tears.
Unbelievable.... He, is that weak for Mark? A brutal mafia like him crying for someone who isn't even related to him by blood?
I kept side hugging him and comforting him. While his whole skin became rosey like all of his blood rushed straight to his face. His whole body was shivering.
"Khun Boss? Are you okay?" I couldn't help but asked him.
"Do you know, Khun Fourth? Mark has been with me since I was a small kid... Maybe 4-5 years old. And.. when I lost my parents, he was there with me. Mark is older among us and he really took care of me like I was his own blood. He never left my side in any situation... I am who I am because of him. Now, he is front of me in this situation.... How can I be okay? How can I be okay, Khun Fourth..." He rested his forehead on my shoulders.
"I'm sorry, Khun Boss. " I caressed his back and he pulled himself back.
He was looking straight in my eyes, tears were still there, both of the eyes were still red but the confidence he had while looking at me gave me goosebumps.
"I will... Never forgive him. The one who is responsible for whatever is happening right now."
"Don't worry, Khun Boss. I'll help you find him!"
