"Okay chat, I'll pick truth for now." Hiccup spoke into the camera; Astrid was cradled on his lap with one arm draped over his shoulder as they both watched the screen in anticipation.

It had originally been Astrid's idea for this particular stream, to spend an hour chatting with the fans and playing truth or dare, allowing the chat to decide what they do. Ultimately, it seemed like a terrible idea, but that's what modders were for. They filtered out the disgusting, perverted requests and kept in the more light-hearted friendly requests. Astrid's dares were always the ones open for manipulation and disgusting bigotry, but Hiccup always tried to keep a level head and ignore their insistent remarks for Astrid to show her beauty.

But that didn't stop him from getting jealous of all these horny fans begging to see more of his girlfriend's beauty. That type of show was just for him to see.

"We've got some good suggestions," Astrid chuckled as she read one particular question about Hiccup's 'shoe' size and another about Hiccup's 'performance'. Both of which made Astrid giggle, because she knew they would make Hiccup flustered. "Most of which Hiccup will not be answering."

Hiccup smiled, glancing at Astrid as her eyes remained glued to the screen. His eyes lit up with love as her smile brightened her face and her light chuckles filled the peaceful air of the room. For a moment, Hiccup wanted to pull Astrid closer, to grip her face in his hand and kiss her passionately, to feel her body pressed up against his and to prove his love for her. Sometimes, just the sight of her smile made Hiccup go crazy for his girlfriend, the girl who was way out of his league.

"Okay, here's one that's PG enough for the stream," Astrid announced, hovering the mouse over one comment, in particular, to highlight it before it disappeared. Hiccup watched as Astrid enhanced it and showed it to Hiccup with a beaming smile, one that Hiccup couldn't help but return when the question registered in his head as English words.

Meeting each other's eyes for a moment, they both burst out into a chuckle.

"Okay, the question Ast had chosen is this..." Hiccup paused for a moment as he adjusted his seat on the chair, pulling Astrid closer and more firmly into his lap. "When did you first meet?" Astrid smiled, recollecting the memory of that day when she had met Hiccup for the first time.

"I remember," Astrid answered wistfully, her eyes glossed over with that glimmer of happiness that Hiccup loved so much. Unable to help himself, he kissed her shoulder and smiled back.

"I know what day you're thinking of. But that's not when we first met." A look of confusion fell over Astrid's features upon hearing Hiccup's confession, a devious smile spreading over his lips as he noticed Astrid's puzzled expression. "What Astrid is thinking of, is when we first officially met and I had an actual conversation with her for the first time. However, that was not when we first met, and that conversation had been a very well-rehearsed encounter by me after having met you about..." - Hiccup thought for a moment - "3 months earlier." Astrid's confusion only deepened as Hiccup's recollections were revealed.

"We met before that convention?" Astrid asked curiously, racking her brain desperately for any encounter with a man with strikingly attractive emerald eyes, and a mop of brown hair that she had been desperate to sink her hands into. But no man came to mind, just an endless crowd of mindless faces that bared no similarity to Hiccup in any way.

Hiccup nodded proudly.

"3 months before I worked up the courage to speak to you and eventually ask you out, which – by the way – I actually didn't expect you to say 'yes' to, let alone have you be my girlfriend." Hiccup chuckled nervously, "Anyway, before that convention, I saw you at The Berserker Comic Con." Astrid's eyes widened slightly, "Now, I can't even try to guess who you were at that point, but it wasn't what you looked like that drew me to you, it was how you interacted with the people." Astrid felt her breath hitch upon Hiccup's words, whilst a dreamy sparkle cast itself over Hiccup's eyes. "There was a small kid in particular that you took photos with that made me want to know you. He must have only been seven or eight years old, and he bounded up to you with so much energy and life that you smiled at him in a way that lit up the entire hall we were in. You picked him up and held him tight as his mother took a picture of the two of you together. You treated him like an equal, like your friend, and smiled at him in a way that I wished it was me that you were smiling at." Hiccup chuckled again, his head shaking at how pitiful he must look in front of the camera like this, spilling his heart out to the woman he loved in front of thousands.
