I saw this on my friends SnapChat and I knew that I wanted to do a Hiccstrid modern one shot on this!!! So I hope you guys like it!
Hiccup sat in the middle of the park. His nimble, rough hands gently clutched a small polaroid picture of him and his newly ex girlfriend. Him and Anna. He loved that girl, with all of his heart. Every single ounce of it, yet he still couldn't work out where he went wrong. He looked longingly at the photo of him and the girl. He was so lost in thought that he didn't notice the stream of tears that began soaking into the photo, neither did he notice the beautiful silhouette that was now beginning to tower over him.
"Hiccup? You okay?" The blonde that was stood watching his every move suddenly awoke him from his trance. Hiccup looked up from the clutched memory in his hands and smiled at the girl in front of him.
"Oh, err... Hi, hello, er, A-a-astrid... What are you-you doing here?" Hiccup looked on edge as he stammered. He also quickly hid away his photo and sat uncomfortably on the bench.
"Let me see." Astrid said, holding out her hand to him. Hiccup looked at her quiet, gentle hand and thought about how much it looked like Anna's. He sighed in defeat and reluctantly handed her the photo he was indiscreetly hiding beneath him. Astrid carefully took the photo into her hands and looked at it lovingly.
"It's--" Hiccup began to explain.
"--Anna..." Astrid began. Hiccup nodded. "Let me guess. She broke up with you..." Astrid said as she sat beside him and gently put an arm around his shoulder. Hiccup felt more tears starting to stream down his face.
"Yeah. She broke up with me about an hour ago." His head hung low. Astrid felt her heart pang, it hurt her to see him hurt this much.
Astrid was in love with Hiccup, yes that much was true, but he'd never feel the same about her and she knew that. But that didn't mean she would give up, that didn't mean that she would stop waiting.
She would wait. She would wait forever if it meant being with him, because he was worth waiting for.
This was a sad one.
I wrote this one whilst off from school because I am literally dying!!! So im not gonna write much here as im probs gonna die now!!!
