Chapter 10

"Hey El!" Jamie called out to her from the school yard, Ellie came over to see Jamie talking to Dan.

"Grandpa Dans picking us up." Jamie tell her

"Cool!" Ellie exclaimed

"So why do you want to do?" Asked Dan leading them out the gate

"Well that depends." Jamie says

"Yeah, cause mum or dad pick me up, and Deb picks up Jamie, so we do different things." Ellie adds

"What do you and Brooke or Lucas do after school?" Dan asks

"With daddy we go to the river court." Ellie tells him "with mama we normally go to the store."

"What do you and Nanny Deb usually do after school?" Dan asks Jamie

"Um eat lots of ice cream." Jamie says

"That doesn't sound like Deb. Are you sure she lets you eat ice cream after school?" Asked Dan

"No. She makes me eat veggies instead because they'll help me grow big and strong." Jamie whines

"You want to know a little secret?" Dan asked stoping besides the car. "Most adults will tell you almost anything to get you to eat your veggies and most of it's not true."

"Well carrots really do give you x-Ray vision right?" Asked Jamie

"No." Dan tells them as they climb into the car.

"What?" Both kids question

"So grandpa Dan, dose spinach give you super powers?" Asked Ellie as the ice cream man handed both kids an ice cream.

"No one can get super powers El." Dan tells her, earning a sigh from Ellie.

"And do I really get to make a wish for every Brussels sprout I eat?" Asked Jamie

"No actually they taste bad for no reason at all." Dan replies as they start walking "Hey slow down there buddy. You're gonna give yourself a brain freeze."

"He always gets a brain freeze when he eats ice cream." Said Ellie "cause he eats it was to fast."

"Well well. What have we here?" Dan asked as they spotted Skills and Deb kissing.

"Oh. Guess what? They kiss a lot." Jamie tells Dan as they walk over to them

"Hey little guys." Skills greets

"Hi uncle skills." Both kids smiles

"Hi Nanny Deb." Jamie says

"Hi Deb." Ellie adds

"Ice cream after school and I thought I was a bad nanny." Deb comments

"Yeah. Well you know they ran out of all those x-Ray vision carrots." Dan tells her "So granny Deb can I talk to you?" Dan adds, Deb stands up and follows Dan, but not before kissing skills again.

Jamie and Ellie sit down with Skills eating there ice cream. After a while Dan and Deb walk back over.

"Let's go Antwon." Deb said walking back over. Dan sitting in Skills empty seat.

"Oh it hurts. It really hurts." Jamie said putting a hand on his head.

"Yeah. I know how you feel." Dan replies

"Oh my head." Jamie groans

"Told you." Ellie stated

Nathan, Skills, Ellie, Jamie and Dylan where all at a slam ball game, Nathan had been thinking about playing it.

"Wow. This can't be good for my back!" Nathan comments as people where getting bold over.
