Chapter 13

There was a knock on the door and Sam got up to answer it.

"Hey, Sammy. Love the whole bedhead thing you're rocking there." Julian greeted from the other side of the door

"Brooke, Julian's here." Sam called leading him inside

"Coffee ... black, tons of sugar." Julian said handing sam a coffee "How's jack doing?" He added

"Well, his brother's a murderer, so probably like crap. I haven't talked to him much lately." Sam sighed sitting down at the island next to Ellie.

"Well, he probably really needs you right now. You can make a big difference for him." Julian said placing a cup down in front of Ellie. "Hot chocolate." He added

"Thanks." Smiled Ellie as Brooke walked in.

"Hi. I'm sorry. I know that we were supposed to look at costumes today. I've just been totally turned around dealing with..." Brooke started as Julian held up a magazine "the press." Brooke breathed out snatching the magazine from Julian. "Can't they just go back to stalking Britney or something?"

"Oh, come on. Hot clothing designer tracks down attacker and exacts revenge." Julian stated "If you're not gonna sell me the movie rights, you should at least be from the tabloid."

"So that every time I look at it, I can be reminded of the fact that my attacker was also Quentin's killer and that maybe if I had reported it." Brooke sighed

"Brooke, you were attacked by a guy in a mask. Even if you had reported it, the chances of the police finding him were slim to none. It's not your fault." Julian reassures

"I know. It's just sad." Brooke sighed

"Yeah. Listen, take the day, focus on your work." Julian said "I'll come back tonight and see where you're at, okay? I got you a latte, extra foam." Julian said handing Brooke the cup "See you ... Bye, Samson. By El." He added ruffling both there hair.

"Bye, Julian" Sam and Ellie called as he walked out

"You've got a date." Sam smiled turning to Brooke.

"I have a business meeting." Brooke stated

"Yeah, like his junk's got a meeting with your lady business." Sam deadpanned

"Samantha!" Exclaimed Brooke

"What?" Sam questioned as Brooke turned away a look of disgust on her face.

"Hey Aunty Peyton!" Ellie greeted opening up the door

"Hey E. Scott." Peyton smiled

"Brooke, Peyton's here. You can tell her your big news." Sam told Brooke.

"What's the news?" Asked Peyton following Ellie to the kitchen bench

"There is no big news." Brooke quickly said

"Julian's hot for Brooke." Sam deadpanned

"Don't listen to her." Brooke cut off

"Mums totally hot for him, too." Ellie grinned

"Sam, Do you want to take Ellie and go back to living in a car?" Questioned Brooke

"Got anything for an awkward silence?" Asked Sam looking at Peyton as no one said anything.

"I'm pregnant?" Peyton suggested.

"No." Brooke said starting to cry as Ellie pulled her into a hug

"No, no, no, Brooke, don't cry, honey, okay?" Peyton said picking up Ellie "I ... I know that you wanted to have another baby, and I want to be insensitive to that. I just want you to know you are gonna have a huge role in this baby's life."
