Just as he promised, Minho messaged Crystal 2 hours later, letting her know that he'll be waiting for her in front of the library at 16:00.
That was great, since she had a later shift today. She was scheduled to work from 18:00 to 2:00 (or 3:00, depending on how many clients the restaurant would entertain) for the remainder of the month.
After her class ended, she made her way out and found Minho standing just outside, scrolling on his phone.
He was tall, she noticed, and pretty handsome. Not that it would make any difference to her, but she would always dwell on details, trying to get as much as possible from someone by their simple gestures.
"Hey. Did you wait long?" She approached him wearing her usual smile, the one she's learnt hard to keep on her face no matter how tired she was, how bad she was feeling, or what happened.
"Hello." He returned her smile, and she noticed he had deep dimples. He looked friendly.
"So... you still haven't changed your mind." Crystal chuckled.
"About what?"
"The price."
"Why, do you want to pay more?" He joked.
"Of course not." She snared. "But I just found it a bit... weird? That you blurted the new price so randomly. I thought you might realise your mistake and change your mind." She replied truthfully, and Minho listened closely to her words.
"Crystal, once I set my mind on something, you'll notice I hardly change it."
"Good principles." She smiled. She was the same.
"Shall we go see the apartment?" He started walking, guiding Crystal out of the campus.
"You're not going to kill me once we get there, right?" She joked.
"I've been found out! What gave me out?"
"Damn." Crystal blurted, and both started laughing.
The walk towards the apartment complex was a few minutes long, and Crystal couldn't believe it. Living here would mean no longer having to wake up at 7. She could sleep for at least one hour more in the morning, if not one hour and a half.
Let's not get greedy. She thought, watching Minho press the number "8" on the elevator.
Her lucky number.
Then, as they got in front of the door, she almost scoffed, because the apartment was number 88.
What were the chances?
"So, here is the living room. Common space, like the kitchen. That means you can come here whenever you want, no problem." He started explaining as they entered a spacious living room decorated beautifully. All the furniture was modern, and there was a dark green sofa and a coffee table right in the middle of it, in front of the big plasma TV.
"Looks pretty." Crystal smiled.
"Then, there's the kitchen." He continued guiding her, and the kitchen was just as modern looking. There were all sorts of appliances she wasn't sure how to use, and she found the room once again quite spacious.
Next came her bedroom, the door to the left of the kitchen, or the room in the middle of the house.
"So... it's a bit simple looking, but if you need anything else, let me know and I will buy it for you." Minho started, but when she entered the room, she noticed there already were all essentials someone could need: a closet, a desk, and a bed.
What more could she want?
She started tracing every object with her fingertips, feeling the polished wood underneath. When she reached the desk, she started searching through each cabinet and grinned upon opening the second one.
