Let's just get to the point. You go on a Pokemon journey through Kanto region.
(Ps. This is a rewrite of my old Pokemon story. I wasn't really happy how that turned out so let's try again.)

We see our friends camping on a clearing in a forest. Y/N is currently battling against Brock using Eevee while Brock is using Vulpix. Misty is sitting on a log in the sidelines while Togepi was sitting on her lap and Venusaur was lying on the ground next to her with Pikachu sitting on his head watching the battle play out.
Y/N: Eevee, use Shadow Ball!
Eevee fired a Shadow Ball at the Fox Pokémon.
Brock: Block it with Flamethrower!
Vulpix aimed Flamethrower at the dark ball of energy and destroyed it. Eevee decided to attack and surprised everyone by shooting water bubbles at the fire type. They hit their target and did a lot of damage. But then the other odd thing happened, the water on the ground flew back to Eevee, as if he absorbed the water, and glowed green restoring his HP.
Y/N: Huh? Eevee, you were supposed to use Dig not... whatever move that was.
Misty and Venusaur walked up to the two. Misty is holding Togepi in her arms while Pikachu was sitting on Venusaur's head.
Misty: I wonder what kind of move was that?
Brock: Yeah, I've never seen any Eevee do the moves that yours can do.
Y/N: It's not the first time this has happened either.
Misty: Oh right! Like that time on James' family home and the Canine Unit training facility.
Brock: Except back then he used a fire type move and electric type move.
Y/N: The books I have read said nothing about Eevee knowing fire type moves other than Sunny Day. I asked my parents and they didn't know either.
Brock: What about Professor Oak?
Y/N: He didn't know either. *sigh* What's going on with Eevee?
???: I can answer that question.
They all turned and saw a man dressed in some kind of Pokemon trainer outfit they use in circus. He was also holding a whip and a lollipop he was apparently eating.

???: I know what's going on with your Eevee.
Y/N: You do?
???: Yes. But where are my manners, I didn't even introduce myself. I'm Toby.
Y/N: Nice to meet you Toby. I'm Y/N. And these are my Pokemon Venusaur, Pikachu, Eevee and Togepi.
They all greeted him.
Misty: I'm Misty.
Brock: And I'm Brock.
Y/N: So could you explain what's going on with my Eevee?
Toby: Of course. But I feel like I could explain it to you better after a battle.
And so they both took their places on a "battle field". Y/N and Eevee were on the far right and Toby was on the far left side. While the rest just stood where Misty was sitting previously. Toby then pulled out a Pokeball and threw it.
