The chapter starts as the camera pans down to our heroes, where we see Y/N making a call.
Phone: Placing call. Placing call. Placing call. Placing call.
Soon Y/N's mom appears on screen.
Y/N: Hi, mom! It's me! I'm coming home!
However...
Crystal: Thank you for calling the L/N residence. No one's able to take your call at the moment.
Y/N: It's the answering machine, guys.
Pikachu: Pika. (Really.)
Eevee: Vee. (Really.)
Venusaur: Saur. (Really.)
Crystal: So please leave a message after the beep, and we'll get back to you as soon as we can.
The beep is heard and Y/N leaves his message.
Y/N: Hey mom and dad, it's Y/N. And I got a surprise. You're gonna have a visitor, and it's us!
Y/N, Misty and Brock are heading back to Pallet Town to find out more about the Pokemon League from the hometown expert, Professor Oak. We see them walk down the road to Pallet Town. Y/N soon speeds up.
Brock: Come on, Y/N!
Misty: Slow it down a little, will ya?
Y/N: Sorry guys. I just can't wait to get home!
Brock: Well, at least wait for us!
Y/N: We should be able to see Pallet any second now, guys!
Venusaur: Venusaur. (Home, sweet home.)
Suddenly Y/N runs into an invisible wall.
Y/N: Ouch! That really hurt.
Brock: What's wrong?
Misty: Why'd you stop running?
Y/N: I ran into this wall.
Pikachu: Pika! (Whamo!)
Misty: I don't see a wall.
Eevee: Vee. (Me neither.)
Brock taps on the "wall".
Brock: Hey!
Misty also tests it.
Misty: I feel it!
Y/N: See?
Misty: But how did it get here?
Brock: An invisible wall.
Y/N: I guess it was that Mr. Mime over there.
Everyone looks up where Y/N was looking and see something climbing up "the wall".
Brock: A Mr. Mime, huh?
Y/N: That's actually pretty rare around here.
Mr. Mime managed to get over the wall and was about to run away, but then a voice is heard behind our heroes.
???: Wait, don't run away! I need you, Mr. Mime!
It was a girl with blue hair and dressed as a ringmaster.
???: Pokeball, go!
However the Pokeball hits the invisible wall as the Mr. Mime runs on ahead.
???: Oh no. Now what'll I do?
Y/N: Those invisible walls sure are handy.
Brock: Hey, my name is Brock! I'm sorry that Mr. Mime got away. Whatever your problem is, I feel it's my duty to help you solve it.
