A/N:

Couldn't find a picture of what I needed sooooo I wrote it myself. If you can't read my writing it is MINE with the N backwards.

Enjoy!

(Vasileios's POV)

"How is she doing?"

"Still making great progress as you know. How is everything else?"

"Good. Doing good." I answered, peering over her shoulder at Daimonáki mou. She sat at the kitchen island glaring at the woman's head.

"I can feel her burning holes into my head." Iona smiled.

It's been almost two weeks since the wonderful dinner with family and she has been even more...possessive since then. She glares at every woman I come into contact with and even some men. On some occasions she even inserts herself between me and the other person, plastering her body against mine.

It's not just her possessiveness that has risen. Her anxiety has spiked as well. That is due to the fact that I keep dragging her to different doctors. I took her to a nutritionist, cardiologist, dentist, and an OBGYN to make sure every inch of her inside and out was okay. She hated the teeth cleaning she got and hated the Pap smear even more. She assured me she was okay with it but about broke all my fingers from squeezing my hand so hard. She was okay with the test they did to check her for allergies and thankfully it was clear.

Iona has been hired to help her learn to read and write. We're working on the writing until she gets her voice back and can start speaking/reading. Iona usually teaches children but agreed to help out after I vaguely explained the situation. Iona is someone Saina and I met in Italy. She moved over here to become a teacher when she and her husband got married. As it turns out, Daimonáki mou is a very fast learner and can spell quite a few words now. Her favorite word to write?

Mine.

I have woken up several times recently with that word scrawled across some part of my body in Sharpie. It's usually my arm, hand, chest, abdomen, neck, collarbone, or foot and the N is always backwards, but I don't have the heart to tell her and I've forbidden Iona from doing it.

We have taken baby in steps in her getting comfortable without being in the same room as me. The longest we've made it is five minutes before she comes running and latches onto me. The only time we do it is for bathroom breaks and showers. She doesn't tolerate anything else.

Ares has grown even more attached to her as well. He follows her every move and sleeps on the floor by her side of the bed. She often shares bites of her breakfast with him and he sits outside the shower while she's in there or sits at her feet while she uses the bathroom.

"She goes back to see Dr. Petinos next week, right?" Iona asked, receiving a nod from me. "You should get good news there with all the progress she's making."

Along with picking on writing, she has also began making noises. May sound like not much of a big deal to someone else, but it's everything to us. Any sound she makes is one step closer to speaking. Now she makes groans when she dislikes something and tiny sighs when she likes something. Tak, Orion, and I have gotten very good at charades too for when her noises don't help.

"Same time Thursday?"

"Yes, please." I smiled, leading Iona to the front door.
