Silence AU

So after Sabre got out of darkness He just stopped talking 

Like the darkness affected his vocal cords

I can't really put it into words 

so here :

I've been watching him for awhile now 

He has not moved for five minutes other than quick shifting of the head but that's it 

He's just messing with me, any second now he'll just kill me

That's what Shadow does. 

I'll have to book it 

I look back at where Shadow stands 

He's looking at where I'm hiding

"Did I say that out loud?" 

Shadow tilts his head 

Then he tries to talk 

"how's about I just run-" 

He shakes his head violently 

"this a n-new low, I mean even for you. Messing with me using silence?"

Shadow backs up

then he turns to run out of the Rainbow hub 

What the hell?

Did- did he just run away from- From me?

So instead of being stupid and showing up all willy nilly 

He wrote letters to Light saying when the darkness was going to attack 

Sabre showed up to meetings 

How did he do it?

He wrote a note saying some steve hit him in the throat causing his vocal cords to break a little and that it would take time to be fixed 

Rainbow Void shrugs and just continues on normally 

After the whole darkness thing

everyone got used to Sabre not talking 

And He always had a book and quill so everyone could understand what he was trying to say 

Professor Red ended up asking Sabre if he wanted his voice fixed in exchange for a favor

Sabre shook his head out of fear.
