The Crisp air filled Sabre's lungs as he walked up the steps of the temple. At the top stood Demon Void.
"So I've heard that you can see Orange's ghost..." Demon Void remained looking out to the rest of the underworld
Sabre reaches the top
"Who told you? I mean, who even likes talking to you? Let alone you." Sabre says staying at the top of the stairs
Demon Void laughs
"I can hear everything... Its only a matter of time" Demon Void turns around to face Sabre
Silence.
"Everyone thinks your crazy, then they either avoid you or avoid the subject. Then theres... Light? He tries to get you help" Demon Void smiles
Sabre looks to the ground
"They don't think I'm crazy..." Sabre thinks aloud
"oh? Then they think your going crazy" Demon Void states
"There is no in-between" Demon Void looks back to his view
"I once told Soul that I see An Old Friend of mine" Void says not making eye contact
"He believed me. Real friends would believe-" Void starts
"No! Friends would be there during your hardships! like seeing a dead best friend..." Sabre looks directly at Demon Void
"And... What is Soul going to do? Call you crazy? You tried to take over the world. That is beyond crazy" Sabre says
Demon Void laughs
"Maybe so... but if they were really your friends, they would've known that you were no longer corrupt" Void says remaining where he stands
Sabre's breathing starts to become shakey
"what about it. Its perfectly fair" Sabre says
"I hurt people."
"No, Shadow did. You weren't in control, they didn't understand that. Especially when you broke into the rainbow kingdom." Demon Void says
"How do you know about that?" Sabre asks
"Oh, I've always had some darkness follow you everyday, whether you were Shadow or not" Demon Void laughs
"So why didn't you kill me? or even try to re-infect me with darkness..." Sabre looks at Demon Void
"Oh that's simple!" Demon Void looks back at Sabre
"The main reason is because I thought the more they rejected the truth of you being back the more you would be able to get more to the truth yourself" Demon Void states
"What Truth? The Truth that the darkness is the best? Because that have never been the truth and it will never be the truth" Sabre hisses
"how rash! I'm talking about the other truth. No Steve will ever truly be your friend... Especially the Steves that claim to be your friend" Demon Void says
"There my friends, they are my friends" Sabre tells himself
"Then tell me... Why don't they believe you?" Demon Void smiles

"Your only trying to get under my skin" Sabre comments
"Maybe" Demon Void mutters
"Wait... You see an old friend? A dead one? YOU HAD FRIENDS??" Sabre realizes
"Yes... I had friends. Back before I became the first Rainbow Steve. He is often in the background when I talk to people... just... staring at me, he often has blueish liquid around his eyes and is grinning." Demon Void looks above Sabre's shoulder and looks off into the distance
There stands a familiar Red figure to Void
Smiling, Waving, Crying the same blueish tears.
"So you know he's fake" Sabre thinks while looking at his Orange Friend
Orange looks at Sabre and Smiles
"I- Thank you for this conversation Void. I need to go apologize to Light and Time" Sabre turns to the stairs
"There still going to make you go get help" Demon Void presumes
"Remember, they aren't your friends, your just a replacement for Orange Steve... and just like what happened to him. That job will probably..."
"Break you too"
"Goodbye Void..." Sabre starts to go down stairs but looks back
"Hopefully... this is the last time I talk to you" Sabre continues to go down the stairs.
