ruikasa fluff scenarios!

💌⏰ Brighter than any other star...

(Starting off with one that I've seen before on this platform, but I wanted to write one myself yippee)

(This chapter involves one of those cheesy pickup lines, you've been warned)

It was a beautifully clear Summer night. Rui looks up at the stars as he sits alone in his garden, and sighs.
"If only Tsukasa-kun was here to watch these with me..." He mutters. Then, he realises... Well, why can't Tsukasa look at the stars with him? They're best friends after all, right? Tsukasa would love to spend some time with Rui!

Rui pulls out his phone from his pocket, and rings Tsukasa's number. Rui's hand trembles a little as he puts the phone to his ear, as he thinks of the implications of inviting his best friend to watch the stars with him. And yet, Rui doesn't mind the romantic-ness at all. (help "romantic-ness" sounds so goofy SJKADHASKJDHAS)

"... Hey, Tsukasa-kun. Are you free at the moment?..." Rui whispers quietly into the phone, undeniably feeling a bit nervous. It's as if he's asking Tsukasa on a date... Perhaps he is.

"Hmm? Oh, hey, Rui! I would love to! Where would you like to meet up?" Replies a familiar enthusiastic voice on the other end of the phone. It seems that Tsukasa is eager to spend time with Rui, as expected.
"Hehe, let's just meet up at my house. See you soon!" Rui hangs up the phone after that, and sighs again.

"Did I just ask Tsukasa-kun out on a date...? Oh, goodness..." Rui's cheeks flush slightly as he covers his mouth with his hand, staring in shock at his phone. He actually just did that...

The doorbell is soon rung, and Rui rushes to answer it. His expression is riddled with excitement - Rui is about to be on a "date" with Tsukasa! Or, maybe, he's just being a bit delusional and this is just a meeting between best friends... One can dream.

"Hey, Rui! What did you call me over for?... You're not going to use me as a test subject for another one of your inventions, are you?" Tsukasa's eyes narrow with suspicion. To be honest, even if Rui was actually planning on doing that... Tsukasa wouldn't mind. He never does. He knows that Rui makes sure to keep him safe... And such a thought causes Tsukasa's heart to flutter... He quickly clears his throat, stopping himself from dwelling on his romantic feelings for Rui.

Rui chuckles, and shakes his head. "No, nothing of the sort, don't worry. I just thought... The stars look beautiful tonight. I was wondering if you wanted to watch them with me..." Rui awkwardly rubs the back of his neck, avoiding eye contact. Oh, the implications of such a request...

Tsukasa flushes slightly and his eyes widen. Is Rui asking him out on a date right now...? He clears his throat again, and responds, attempting to act as his usual confident self. There's still some blush on his cheeks, though, so his confident act fails miserably. Rui thinks that's absolutely adorable... (So true Rui)

"Ah, heheheh... Why of course! That sounds like a splendid way to spend the evening, Rui!"

Rui leads Tsukasa to his garden, before proceeding to sit down in the soft grass beside him, looking up at the twinkling stars in the night sky. What a wonderful sight... Rui smiles softly to himself, happy to be having this somewhat romantic moment with Tsukasa. He turns his head to face the (very cute) blond-haired boy, his smile softening even further. "I love him so much... If only I could tell him how much he means to me." Rui thinks. He sighs again.

"... Hey, if you don't mind... Could I hold your hand, Tsukasa-kun?" Rui's face flushes once more. He just asked to hold Tsukasa's hand?! That must've taken a lot of courage...

Tsukasa can't stop himself from blushing yet again, more profusely this time. He hides his face with his hand, not wanting to be seen in a flustered state. He's meant to be confident, after all.

"Ah, well... I-I don't see why not." His hand trembling slightly, Tsukasa slips his hand into Rui's, before holding onto it and locking fingers with him. He pretends not to be as thrilled about this is he actually is, but... A little grin spreads itself over Tsukasa's red face. 

"... Hehe..." Rui chuckles, his own face quite red. However, he's less ashamed to admit that he's enjoying this. He was the one who asked, after all. Rui gives Tsukasa's hand a small, affectionate squeeze, before shuffling slightly closer. "... Should I tell him...? Maybe I'll wait a little bit longer..." Rui thinks. 

Tsukasa sighs quietly, before looking up at the stars again. Without even realising it, he slowly leans his head onto Rui's shoulder, causing the latter to chuckle and flush slightly again. Tsukasa looks quite comfortable resting against Rui...

After some more pondering, Rui finally decides that it's time to tell Tsukasa his true feelings. What if he never gets another opportunity like this? The stars in the sky, the comforting Summer evening breeze, and the hand-holding... The time is perfect.

(CHEESY PICKUP LINE INCOMING!!! (it's not even that original lmao but it's just so cute sjkdjhfniehrj))

"Hey... Um... Tsukasa-kun, I-I..." Rui takes a deep breath, before taking a short moment to prepare himself to say his next words. "These stars in the sky may be beautiful, but... You're the brightest and most beautiful star I've ever seen. I love you, Tsukasa-kun."

Rui looks at the flabbergasted Tsukasa with a determined and loving expression. There's no turning back now... Will Tsukasa return Rui's sweet confession? Or will tonight be a failure? (obviously he's going to accept, this is a fluff fanfic)

"R-Rui, I..." Tsukasa sniffles, as he's overcome by emotions at Rui's sudden yet adorable confession. A tear of joy falls from Tsukasa's eyes, before he leans forward and wraps Rui into a tight, heartfelt hug.

"I-I LOVE YOU TOO, RUI!!!" Tsukasa shouts so loud that Nene could probably hear him from next-door. Rui gasps in surprise at the hug, before reciprocating it, wrapping his arms tightly around Tsukasa in return. Tsukasa continues to sniffle into Rui's shoulder, a wide grin on his face as he hugs the boy he loves.

After a few moments, Tsukasa pulls away slightly to look at Rui's face. He thinks he looks so beautiful in the moon's light... He smiles lovingly at him, his arms still wrapped around Rui's shoulders.

"Y-you mean so much to me, Rui... I-I'm so glad you feel the same way." Tsukasa sniffles again, and rubs his eyes to try and get rid of the tears that keep flowing. He laughs in pure joy, before leaning closer to Rui again and resting his head on his shoulder.

Rui, meanwhile, is still in a bit of a state of shock as he processes the fact that Tsukasa loves him in return. His arms are still wrapped around him, and one of Rui's hands moves up slightly to caress Tsukasa's fluffy blond hair. It's so soft...

"... You mean a lot to me too, Tsukasa-kun..." Rui whispers, before sighing and smiling softly. He looks down at his beloved in his arms for another moment, before looking at the stars above them again. This would truly be a night to remember.
