(i saw a screenshot on pinterest from JP server, the translation is... very fruity to say the least so i decided to write a fic inspired by it. the screenshot is at the bottom of the chapter!)

[Rui's POV]

Hmm... Where is Tsukasa-kun...? It's halfway through the lesson already, and he always tries his best to be punctual... I hope he's okay... He didn't text me about anything, so I'm very much worried about him. To take my mind off of my concerns, I decide to take a nap. I place my head on the desk, using my arms as a pillow, and shut my eyes.

[Tsukasa's POV]

GAHHHH, I'M GOING TO BE SO LATE!!! Darn my forgetfulness for causing me to leave my bag at home... Why did I only notice when school was right around the corner?! I'm speeding my way to school, hoping that I won't get into much trouble. I didn't have time to text Rui either, so he's probably worried about me... Ugh!

On the bright side, I decided to change things up today and wear a new jumper I bought instead, which is mostly pastel yellow but has lavender-coloured rims, as well as a star-shaped clip in my hair that Saki bought for me. I feel quite confident about my appearance, heheheh... Not that that's what I'm going to be thinking about right now!!! My mind is very much preoccupied by the fact that I'm dreadfully tardy right now...

I eventually make it back to school half-way through the lesson, and I burst aggressively through the door, panting for breath.

"MY SINCEREST APOLOGIES, EVERYONE!!! I MISPLACED MY BACKPACK AND HAD TO FETCH IT, HENCE MY TARDINESS!!!! I HOPE I'M NOT BEING TOO DISTRUPTIVE...!!!!!"

[Rui's POV]

I'm pulled out of my slumber as the door suddenly bursts open, and I hear a familiar, incredibly loud voice echo throughout the classroom. Tsukasa-kun is here...! I turn around to look at him, a sleepy expression on my face, when... Oh my... He looks so adorable! Oh, what I would do to just hug him tight at this moment... Who am I kidding, he looks adorable in anything, and I always want to hug him. Hehe...

My face flushes ever so slightly as a small, fond smile grows on my face at his adorable presence.

"Tsukasa-kun is here... Thank goodness..." I mumble to myself.

[Tsukasa's POV]

As I gaze around my classroom at everyone, I catch glimpse of Rui's endearingly sleepy face staring at mine with such affection... He must've been worrying about me, I presume. His expression causes my heart to feel warm, and I give him a beaming smile in return, giving him a small wave.

As expected, the teacher gives me a punishment, which is that I'll have to stay behind at school for 30 minutes. At least we don't have practice today... I sigh in annoyance as I sit down in my seat beside Rui, who is still admiring my radiant self, of course. At least he's here to help me feel a little better... I pat his head lovingly before pulling out my exercise book and getting to work.
