💞⏰ Twisted Ankle

(I remember seeing an (I think) official comic with a similar story to this, but I'm RuiKasa-ifying it hehe)

"Hahahah...! Hey, Rui! Look over here...!" Tsukasa calls out to Rui as he strikes his newest pose, standing on the Wonder-Stage.

Rui turns around from the gadget he was working on to look at Tsukasa, and chuckles fondly at the sight of his partner before he notices that Tsukasa's ankle is positioned a little... Strangely. Tsukasa doesn't seem to notice, however, since he's to engrossed in his pose-striking.

"Umm... Tsukasa-kun...? Your ankle..."

"Hah...?-" Tsukasa looks at his ankle, and his eyes widen a little before he trips, falling towards the floor of the stage and landing on his rear. A crack is heard, presumably the poor boy's ankle as it gets twisted out of place as he falls... "AGH-...! Ah..."

Rui rushes to Tsukasa's side, putting down the screwdriver he was holding. He notices how his partner's ankle is now twisted, and sighs, before giving him a sweet smile.

"... You're so clumsy, Tsukasa-kun. Here, how about I carry you to a local infirmary?" Rui wraps his arms around Tsukasa's back and his knees respectively in preparation, still smiling at the now slightly flushed boy.

"Err- n-no, it's alright, Rui... I-I got this...!" Tsukasa, being his usual prideful self, tries standing up on his own, but ultimately fails as he falls back into his partner's arms. He blushes a bit again, and realises he must swallow his pride just this once.

"(Sigh...) Fine. Just, don't drop me, please..." Nervously, Tsukasa wraps his arms around Rui's shoulders so that he doesn't fall, and pouts for a moment as he is forced into giving up his cool and confident demeanour.

About a minute later, Tsukasa's expression softens slightly as he rests his head against Rui's shoulder. Perhaps because Rui is literally his romantic partner, but he finds this... Weirdly comfortable.

"... Why am I genuinely enjoying this..." He quietly mutters to himself, hoping that Rui doesn't hear.

"Hehe, in that case, perhaps I should carry you mo-" Rui teases, before he is cut off as a flustered Tsukasa puts his hand over Rui's mouth. Rui chuckles at his partner's adorable behaviour, although his laugh is obviously muffled. Tsukasa groans in embarrassment as he slowly pulls his hand away from Rui's mouth.

"Shush, you... I didn't say anything."

"Sure you didn't, cutie." Rui is rewarded with a disappointed yet somehow still appreciative glare from his partner.

At the infirmary, Rui is handed some bandages, some pain-relief cream and an icepack. He carefully places Tsukasa down on a bed before taking his partner's boot off and rolling his sock down. He then gently applies the pain-relief cream to his injured ankle. Rui hums a small tune to comfort Tsukasa, who winces as the cream is applied.

Tsukasa's expression has lost its usual confidence once more as his ankle aches in pain.

"Agh... It hurts..."

"Don't worry, dear. I'll take care of you. The pain-relief cream should numb the pain somewhat soon..." Rui states, attempting to appear reassuring, although his voice falters slightly at the end of his sentence as if he is a little unsure. He is worried about his beloved Tsukasa, after all. He finishes wrapping Tsukasa's ankle in the bandage, and carefully presses the icepack to it.

Rui walks over to the other side of the bed, and looks lovingly yet worriedly at Tsukasa's still slightly wincing face. He caresses the side of his partner's head sweetly.

"How are you feeling, Tsukasa-kun...? Any better at all...?"

"... Slightly. Uh... Can I... Have a hug...?" Tsukasa averts his gaze slightly for a moment, before looking at Rui fondly and opening his arms out to him slightly.

"Of course you can. You should know by now that I love hugging you, hehe." Rui wraps his arms around Tsukasa as requested, rubbing his hand lovingly across his back with the other hand still caressing his fluffy blond hair. Tsukasa's face is buried into Rui's shoulder, but he doesn't seem to mind. He uses his partner's shoulder as a pillow of sorts.

"Hmm..." Tsukasa returns the hug rather tightly for someone who isn't usually very openly affectionate. He shuts his eyes and attempts to relax himself in his partner's embrace to take his mind off of the pain in his ankle. Tsukasa starts to drift off to sleep after some time of hugging and being comforted.

"I love you... Rui..." Tsukasa sleepily mutters before he drifts off in his beloved's arms. Rui chuckles at the sweet sight, and kisses Tsukasa's forehead quickly before picking him up again, making sure the icepack balances on his ankle some way or another.

"I love you too, Tsukasa-kun. Now, let's get you home, shall we?..." Rui heads out of the infirmary, admiring his sleeping lover. The sight is very heart-warming after seeing how much effort the boy puts into show practice.
