Lisa let Jennie in the apartment and the brunette is immediately met with the enticing aroma of food and her mouth practically waters at the sight of the raven-haired girl's dressed in blue ripped jeans and black shirt under her apron. Her hair flowing and natural messy waves as she put finishing touches on their meals.
"Just make yourself comfortable for now, I'll be done in a minute." The green-eyed girl address Jennie as she makes her way to breakfast table.
"Hmm, I think I'll just sit here and watch you." Jennie smiles.
After a few minutes of preparation, Lisa takes off her apron and leads Jennie to their balcony where fairy lights are set up around the around along with pillow fort and a table for two has been carefully arranged.
Jennie rakes her eyes over the arrangements and can't hep but be impressed with the girl's efforts. She'd gone all out: flowers, candles, fancy table cloth, fancy silverware and top of it all, a meticulously prepared dinner that was cooked day Lisa herself. The raven-haired girl looked radiant under the soft glow of the bright city lights around them and the whole thing takes Jennie's breath away.
"Wow, Manoban. Didn't take you for a romantic." The brunette tries to hide the flattery she feels at the girl's effort by teasing.
"Haven't seen anything yet, Kim." Lisa answers without missing a beat.
They settle in to enjoy the dinner the green-eyed girl prepared and get to talking about their lives. Lisa tells Jennie the story of how she'd initially pursed political science in collage but eventually switched to business while getting involved in the small culinary arts program on the side untill she'd gained enough experience and money to put up her own restaurant without anyone's help. She was so excited when the restaurant become one of the top most restaurants in the city.
Jennie, in turn tells Lisa how the gym she owns is one of the long-time family owned business that started out small when her grandfather first managed it and has expanded and improved into many more under Jennie's care. They trade anecdotes of how they met their best friends and what they learned about their friends based on their respective friend's stories.
Jennie learns that behind the infuriating smirk and Lisa's facade of endless teasing, there is an extremely intelligent, intellectually intense and warm compassionate being. While Lisa learns that beyond Jennie's uptight attitude, is one that actually has a penchant for puns and corny jokes while still having just right amount of wit to effectively keep up with her when she gets into one of her passionate rants about the affairs of the world.
Needless to say when Lisa inevitably teases Jennie for what seems like the hundredth time that evening, the brunette relishes in the satisfying fact that she can finally kiss off the smirk from the girl's face without hesitation.
Lisa convinces the brunette to stay the night, citing the late hour as her main reason and insisting that she's only worried for the girl's safety - not because she craves her touch and her cuddles. She also manages to persuade the girl to sleep on her bed with promises and pillow barrier for (mostly) keeping her hands to herself.
Jennie wakes up to what she considers the best breakfast she's ever had and she feels herself fall for every soft smile sent her way and everytime she watches the raven-haired girl fuss about the kitchen, adamant on making the food perfect, just for the brunette.
"Okay. This is cheating." Jennie moans out between her bites of the omelet Lisa cooked for her.
"What is?" Lisa asks as she sets her utensils down for a moment to wipe a stray piece of bacon on the side of Jennie's mouth and proceeding to eat herself.
"You've already discovered that my weakness is food after the first date and you are shamelessly exploiting it." She pouts.
Lisa laughs and uses a napkin to wipe her mouth before replying. "You eat so much for someone who I thought supposed to be a health nut."
