First day of the Chunnin exams

The entire village was abuzz. There was a huge influx of visitors, vendors and Shinobies into the village of Konoha. It was the first day of the exam and there were a lot of observers. Though the third day attracts more people, this day was huge none the less. The dumbass trio were in trouble first thing in the morning. First, Naruto had a stomach ache with all the partying the night before, Luffy was sleeping like a log when they were already late and Sasuke had to drag the dumbass duo before the deadline to check in.

As the trio walked through the hall, anticipations were at the highest. For Naruto and Sasuke atleast, Luffy was busy planning his adventures and crew. Then, they finally arrived at the door. Beyond this door, laid the first test of the chunnin exam. But they were confident, after all it's just an exam. They threw the door open and instantly felt all eyes fall on them like daggers. There were grown men, seasoned shinobis on the level of high chunnins waiting for the title. The trio walked with the air of utmost importance that pissed off most. Sasuke and Naruto were trying to look intimidating.

"Look cool, look cool, look serious, look serious." Naruto and Sasuke were saying to themselves in their mind. Suddenly Luffy stopped in the front of Zaku, the sound shinobi and looked at him with a challenging eye

"OI!" Luffy said and Zaku got ready for a confrontation. 

"Huh? What do you want brat?" Zaku said and a murderous intent filled the air

The room was razor focused on the two who looked like they were about to go apeshit at each other. Some stepped back while others got ready for a battle in case this escalates. And then, Luffy spoke

" You have bogger and hair on your headband." Luffy said and Naruto and Sasuke struggled to hold in their laughter. Couple of other participants were also trying to do the same

"YO-YOU HOW DARE YOU! This is the symbol of the sound village! Are you making fun of us?" Zaku screamed and Luffy just tilted his head.

"Sound? You guys a band or something? Where are your instruments?" Luffy said and Naruto and Sasuke clutched their mouth as not to Laugh.

The rest of the class snickered and muttered jokes under their breath. Zaku and his team were pissed. They were humiliated in front of other villages and competitors. He raised his hand to give Luffy a punch when a boming voice stopped him

"TO YOUR SEATS!" Ibiki's voice broke the confusion and all participants went to their assigned seats. Luffy was sat between Ino and Temari. 

The rules were explained and Luffy became nervous. If he failed his team will fail. All this tension caused his stomach to misbehave.

Naruto who was sat behind Ino noticed this. He wanted to say its ok we can try again next exam. But it was too late for any last words. 

They flipped over the exam sheet and came to realize they were doomed. The questions were next to impossible. But the exam had already started and the team started to question their existence. It was obvious everyone was cheating and except Sasuke, Naruto and Luffy had no way of cheating. Luffy however had a whole new problem, his stomach was misbehaving. With a lot of care, he let one rip as silent as possible. But it was loud enough to be heard by Ino. Ino held her nose and moved away from Luffy exposing her paper. Naruto who was sitting right behind Luffy, started copying off as much as possible from her. This went on for several times with Ino swearing she will kill him once they get outside.

'I see, they are using farts coordinated at intervals to cheat. Very smart indeed.' Ibiki thought

But Luffy wasn't sure what to write and gave up 5 minutes into the exam. After all, what is the point of trying when its plain obvious what the result will be? So Luffy just started sleeping after his stomach had quieted down.

(LETS DO A TIME SKIP SINCE ITS OBVIOUS WHAT LUFFY WILL DO IN THE LAST QUESTION)

So finally, the team had passed. The kids were jumping in joy as they had overcome their first trial. Naruto was talking about how easy the test was when in reality he was shitting his pants the whole time. Sasuke was the same except he didnt make it obvious. Luffy on the other hand, wanted to know whats for Lunch.

Ibiki was collecting the exam sheets when he noticed Luffy's paper. It was just a scribbling of a boat and his team on it. He smiled fondly, in the age of shinobi where friendships, betrayals and killing was a way of life, often times life seems grim for most. But it is those who find a way to make it positive that are rare and true winners in this cruel and unjust world. Luffy seemed to make everyone smile just with his presence, its a rare gift and Ibiki had grown fond of it.

THAT NIGHT IN THE UZUMAKI HOUSE:

Luffy crept out of his bed and walked slowly to not raise a sound. He slowly crept out of his room and made his way into the kitchen. He excitedly started walking when the light suddenly flicked on. 

"Its useless Luffy, I have the high ground." Naruto said as sat over the refrigerator.

But Luffy kept on walking towards him.

"Ho? You are approaching me?" Naruto asked 

"I cant have food if I don't get to the fridge." Luffy said as he walked menacingly

And that concluded another typical day in the Uzumaki household
