Hawkins is a new start for the music obsessed Y/n, even though she isn't particularly happy that she had to move and the only Person she knows there who is her age...
"Hey" i greet Gareth's cousin, who approaches our Lunch table. "Hi" she greets me back, with a smile on her face. Gareth speaks up in confuision "you know each other?" "Yes, we kinda ran into each other" y/n explains, simple and short. Gareth still has a slight confused look on his face, i bet he asks himself when we ran into each other. He looks at me as if he wanted ask, but he doesn't say anything, neither do i.
"Can i sit with you guys?" Y/n suddenly asks, which interrupts the weird Interaction i have with Gareth. "Sure, take a seat" Gareth nods.
"Where is your friend from yesterday, what's her name again?" I ask, while she sits down, right in the between where i and Gareth sit.
"You mean Robin, yeah i don't know i haven't seen her. Not sure if we really are friends, i guess we hung out yesterday or something, she was nice though. Anyways, yesterday I did not sat at your table, i kinda fell asleep, i'm sorry for that"
"Don't worry we saw you, you don't have to apologize, you are always Welcome to sit here when ever you want, right guys?" Gareth demanded a answer. So that's what me and the rest of the guys gave him, we almost sang the word "Right" in union.
We switch topics, we start talking about d&d, y/n doesn't seem to care and watches tik toks instead, i watch her every move, her liking a video of a puppy, one with a relatable meme where she writes a comment *this is so me hhhahahahq, which makes me smile, by now i'm not hearing what the rest of my buddies say and i don't talk, i just observe her.
Eventually Luther starts talking about a party on Saturday, where i start to listen again. "You guys wanna come?" " Whose party ?" jeff asks. "It's Becky B's. party." Luther responds with a grin, we all like Becky, which is mostly because there are barely bad vibes at her partys and well there usally will be beer. "I like Becky, it means that there will be alcohol, Eddie what about you do you come?" Bith of there attention turns to me. " You know, i have to ask my uncel but i have a Business, as a very important Business man, i have to come." I joked.
"What about the rest?" Luther beamed at Gareth and y/n. "Honestly, id love to come" y/n annonces, looking up from her phone. Gareth's just nods and mumbels "yes, it will be fun." Somehow he seems pissed off and not really okay with it. But nobody say anything about it, they might not even realise it, but i can tell, i always can tell with him.

When school was out, and i went to the parkinglot, i see Gareth in front of my car waiting. "What the heck, was that about? You and my cousin?" He asks, arms crossed. "Could you be more specific? I have like no idea what you mean."
"You 'running in to my cousin' " his eyes demanded a honest answer, i could give this to him, i didn't do anything bad, i just support her during a bad first school day
"Gareth, you told us to help, if she needs it." "Yes i did, but you could have said something, are you keeping anything secret from me?"
"No Gareth why would i? I just helped her, also i'm not that kind of guy, you know that." i say, while trying to Sound nice, even though him accusing me, makes me want to be rude towards him, but it would make me seem guilty, even tho i'm not.
"Okay, then everything is alright." "Really?" I asked still a bit unsure. "Really!" We look at each other amused. I offered him a ride but he declined. We said our goodbyes.
I look fowards for Saturday. I don't have to talk to y/n, if that's what Gareth calmes down, but id love to see her, just to look at her. Will she dress up? Or is she that typ of person who is casual about it? On the other hand i have to sell my stuff, the best place is at Parties, there might not even be enough time where i could talk to her, but i will allow myself a glimpse at her.
