𝕿he tension in the room was so thick that it could be cut with a knife. Her intense purple eyes didn't break eye contact with his blue ones, her question still lingering in the air while waiting for an answer from the older man. "Don't you think you're jumping to conclusions too quickly, Miss Pheles?" Igor said without breaking their stair, his voice sounding just as neutral as ever even with the accusation coming from the young girl.

"Perhaps." Violet said before looking away from him, her eyes wandering around the room they were in. "Most of the clues I gathered points towards you but you are always welcome to prove me wrong." She said with no intention to move from the spot until it was necessary. "I might not understand your reasons nor I want to know them, but all I can tell is that what you are seeking is just an empty revenge. Your past is something I'm not interested in either, but like many other exorcists you all have something in common." She added before looking at him, both of their expressions showing not an inch of emotions coming from them. "Stay away from him, Igor. He has nothing to do with what happened to you."

The man huffed at herwarning, his expression hardening even more with her last words. "A kid like you wouldn't understand anything, even less when you are such a demon sympathizer."

Violet bitterly smirks at the words he used to describe her, it wasn't the first time people used it against her and it was never in a good way. "Shouldn't you be ashamed that a kid like me is more reasonable than you?" She asked him, her smirk never going away when noticing the deep frown of irritation on the man's face. Violet looked away from him once she noticed he wasn't planning to say anything else to her. She closed her eyes and her smirk slowly disappeared from her rosy lips. "Rin is not different from us, Igor. He might be Satan's son but so is my father. He deserves to have at least a slim of the trust you have in my father."

"It's different with him." He shortly said to the girl.

"Wish to enlighten me?" The alarms from both her tablet and his watch went off, drawing their attention away from their conversation.

Igor slowly moved away from her, standing right in front of the switchboard. "Go to your spot, the exam is about to start." He said to her while holding the switch that would shoot the electricity from the enteried building the all were in. Even when he didn't show it, he was completely annoyed at the idea of being cornered by a little girl, her words completely getting on his nerves. Igor knew Violet from a very young age, she could be the sweetest person that anyone could know, but her intelligence and her sharp instincts were something that many exorcists admired but also detested at the same time — and he was not different. Even when she was just a student, she had no boundaries when it came to her beliefs and what she thought was the right thing to do. Violet might not be Mephisto's daughter by blood, but just like her father she had a sharp tongue, one that didn't fear anyone — not even when he used to be her superior.
