Days had past since the announcement at echo rock. Life in the pack went on as usual, but I couldn't shake the feeling that something was amiss. My alpha had yet to announce the wolf who was to replace me as beta of our pack. Smart move on his part, but then again, he doesn't have the power to challenge me... My nights grew restless, filled with troubling dreams that left me waking in a cold sweat. Every waking moment was filled with the expectation as pack members looked to me with anticipation, expecting an announcement that never came. The days that followed the announcement at Echo Rock were filled with an eerie calm. The tension in the pack was palpable, like the stillness before a thunderstorm. My alpha's decision to delay naming the new beta had left everyone on edge, and I couldn't help but feel like some pawn in a larger game. I continued to fulfill my duties as beta, training the pack's young wolves, and maintaining order within our ranks. But my mind was restless, and I couldn't shake the sense that something significant was about to unfold. Rumors swirled through the pack like wildfire. Some speculated that the alpha was grooming a new wolf, someone younger who is easier for him to manipulate, while others believed he was searching for an outsider with unique skills to strengthen our pack. Each night, I patrolled the borders, my senses on high alert. I scoured the shadows, expecting to find the mysterious presence that had haunted my dreams. Yet, nothing revealed itself, and the forest remained shrouded in secrets.

It was during one of these moonlit patrols that I stumbled upon something that sent shivers down my spine—a strange symbol carved into the base of an ancient oak tree. The symbol was like nothing I had ever seen before, a complex web of lines and shapes that seemed to pulse with the type of magic that was forbidden in our pack. I knew I had to investigate further, but before I could, a distant howl broke the silence of the night. It was my alpha, calling the pack to gather at Echo Rock. The time had come to reveal his choice for the new beta.

Like i will let him take over my pack with out a fight, i will defend this pack until my last breath...
