1. Phi – term of respect for someone older (gender neutral)

2. Lukchay(lu) – son

3. Waii – respectful gesture of greeting, mostly with folded hands and bowed head

4. Jing – really/true

5. Narak – cute

6. Ku sayaa – I promise

7. Shemai – right

8. Khap – yes/okay

9. Khopuna khap – thank you (polite)

10. Nong – term of respect for someone younger (gender neutral)

11. Yut – stop

12. Khopchai – thanks (informal)

13. Puen – friend (gender neutral)

14. Ai – a term used for an equal, usually by men

15. Phut – speak

16. Ter – beloved/honey

17. Khun – term of respect(Sir/Ma'am, also gender neutral)

18. Satt – stupid/asshole/idiot (several meanings, depending on the context)

19. Plaow – nothing

20. Faen – partner (can mean boyfriend or girlfriend, gender neutral)

21. Chai – yes/okay

22. Sabaidee – I am fine

23. Sadhu – Buddhist chant equivalent to Amen

24. Shivit phom – my life

25. Khitteung – missing

26. Rak – love

27. Chep – hurt/hit

28. Phaw – father

29. Mae – mother

30. Hiew – hungry

31. Maak – a lot

32. Keid alai khun? – what happened?

33. Shia – shit

34. Khein – shy
