"You know it's love when you wish the first date would never end."

"What the hell happened here?" Pete shouted as soon as he entered Phayu's room early Sunday morning. It looked like a hurricane had hit the place. Clothes were strewn all across the bed and the floor. Belts and shoes lay in disarray all over the place. Socks and other daily paraphernalia was stocked on the single chair in the room. "Not now Pa! Don't talk to me now!" Phayu said in the most harried tone. "PHAYU VENICE THEERPANAYAKUL! Clean this place up, this very instant!!" "Pa please na? Na, na, na? I will do it later!" "No, now!" "But Pa, I have a date," Phayu used his last weapon. "Date? Date with whom?" Pete asked immediately. "With Rain, Varain Kirigun. You all met him at the University programme," Phayu said, hesitantly. "You mean, you are boyfriends?" Pete asked, suspiciously. "No, no Pa. Not yet. He has given me permission to pursue him. So that's what I am going to do. And since today is Sunday, I thought..." Phayu trailed off when Pete raised his hand, asking him to stop talking.

"Vegas, get your ass in here," Pete barked into the phone that he had taken out when Phayu had mentioned his date and immediately disconnected the call. Barely seconds later, Vegas ran into the room and stopped short when he saw the destruction involved. "Are you both finally going to kill each other?" he asked, shocked at the devastation. "Forget all this," Pete said. "Do you have your black card?" he continued. "Yes, in my wallet," he said. "Where is your wallet?" "In my back pocket?" Vegas said, both intrigued, albeit confused. "Take it out and give it to your son," Pete instructed. "Why? For ensuring he cleans the room?" Vegas was completely puzzled now. "No you idiot," Pete said, hitting Vegas upside his head. "Because your son is finally going on a date," he said, wiping an imaginary tear from his eye. "Don't be so dramatic! It's just a da... DATE??? Phayu? Date?"

"Yes dad," Phayu said, by this time thoroughly disgruntled with his fathers. "Who are you dating?" Vegas asked. "I am not dating anyone yet, but I am hitting on someone with the purpose of making them my boyfriend," Phayu said, a softness entering into his voice and his eyes, that didn't go unnoticed by his dads. "Who is this person son?" "It's Rain Vegas, Rain Kirigun, the boy we met at the university," Pete now touched Vegas' hand, previous arguments all forgotten in the face of his happiness for his child. "Give him your card Ai'Vegas! Hurry up! He is getting late!" Pete said, trying to hurry him along. "Babe, the boy is not even dressed. What is he going to do with my card?" Vegas said, laughing at Pete.

"True that!" Pete said, looking at his husband. "Why are you not dressed?" he asked Phayu. "Because I can't find anything to wear Pa!" Phayu wailed. Pete looked askance at his son. "Are you fucking serious right now? Your whole cupboard is everywhere in your room, and you can't find what to wear?" he asked. Vegas snickered. Pete hit him again and asked him to shut his mouth. Vegas mimed zipping his lips and smirked and then raised his arm. "What?" Pete asked, annoyed. He pointed at his zipped lips. "Okay, okay, speak!" Pete rolled his eyes. "Guys? In a hurry here! If you have a solution or a suggestion, please fell free to illuminate me, else please leave, so I can figure out what to do!" Phayu said, now completely irritated.

"Did you ask Rain his favourite colours? If you know them, it would be helpful to decide what to wear," Vegas said. "That's a damn good idea!" Pete said. "I will ask him," he said excitedly. "Yes Pa, do th.. wait, how will you ask him? You don't even have his number," Phayu asked, puzzled. "Ah, I meant, I will ask via your phone," Pete quickly covered up his slip of tongue. Rain had specifically told them that both Phayu and Pai should not know about him coming over the Theerpanayakul mansion. And all of them, Kinn, Porche, Vegas and Pete had taken a vow of silence, not to speak about or discuss anything regarding the same. In fact, they had not even told Kim and Chay or Macau or Thankhun, especially the latter, who had a tendency to blurt out things at inopportune moments.
