It's been not even a minute since Zae got here and the vibe has changed completely. It was light and flirtatious but now I feel like one wrong move could lead to a shoot out. I can't even breathe the same. I look at Zae and there's a look I can't read.
"I don't know what you talking bout pussy but I don't lie ight. Gangsta" Zae shifts his attention to me and we finally make eye contact. He looks hollow. The life that was in his eyes is gone and he's not who he was when we were on the phone.
"Mar you ready to go?" He asks me almost demanding me to move from where I'm sitting. I don't get a chance to answer because Malachi answers for me.
"Nah she just started talkin to a real nigga you heard she good." Kai answers challenging him. He waves him off and puts a hand on my thigh. He starts to rub my thigh and I tense up. The Kai that was here with me before Isaiah got here is gone too and he's replaced by some douche who's trying to claim his property.
Zae sucks his teeth not breaking eye contact with me "I ain't know her mouth stopped working." He turns his head towards Malachi and they have a stare off.
It feels like a battle of masculinity and whoever breaks eye contact first loses. I'm looking between the two of them and you can see the hatred in their eyes I just want it to stop. I've never been this choked up from animosity but you could cut it with a knife.
"I bet her mouth works perfectly fine, her throat too feel me." He chuckles. He's hitting low blows to get Zae riled up. I'm literally speechless and even though I wouldn't let a man talk about me like this I'm stuck.
My legs literally aren't working right now. The air is heavy and I can't get up. I don't like the innuendos being used to offend Zae. I can feel daggers being thrown at me as I look at Kai. I don't know what to do or how to shut it down. They've completely forgotten about me at this point.
"Watch yo fucking mouth son." Zae starts getting mad and looks at me like I did something. "Mar is you jackin this bitch or something? Cause he's speaking on you like I won't beat the dogshit outta him, word to my dead." Zae shifts his fingers into a gun and points it in Malachis face.
Kai stands up. He swats the hand out of his face and looks Zae up and down with the meanest mug.
"Yo who you calling a bitch son?" Kai says while getting up. He pulls his pants up as if he's getting ready to fight.
It's almost as if he's been waiting for this stand off for his whole life. He gets closer to Isaiah's face "Hit me pussy I dare you." The smile on his face is evil and I get a chill down my spine.
"Mar get up." is all Zae says to me.
He's not looking at me at all but when I look at him he has the same look on his face and it seems like if they could kill each other right now they would. I don't know who either of these people are right now and I'm waiting for my body to move so that I can finally get out of here. At this point I don't care who I leave with as long as I can get these two away from each other.
Zae balls his fist up getting ready to fight "You know I will. I whooped yo bitch ass last time remember." He pats Kai's cheek and my legs get their feeling back.
I finally shoot up. I grab all my things not giving Kai a chance to touch him. I'm scared what would happen and I don't want to witness it.
"I'm ready to go. Thank you Kai so much for the weed. We can hang out later tonight okay? I'll let you know about that date too." I say grabbing Kai's arm pulling him back. I break his eye contact with Isaiah and he looks at me. Kai's gaze softens and it's almost as if he snapped back into reality instead of wherever they just were.
