Chapter 16 : Oath below Moon

As their conversation continued and the evening deepened, Jimin and Bogum turned their attention to Bogum's own love life, or rather, the lack thereof.

"Bogum," Jimin asked, "what about you? Have you found your mate yet?"

Bogum chuckled softly, his eyes twinkling with amusement. "No, Jimin, I haven't found my mate, and that's okay. I've always been focused on my service to the pack, and I find fulfillment in that."

Jimin nodded in understanding. "That's true. Your dedication to the pack is truly commendable."

Taehyung chimed in, "Bogum, we all respect your commitment to our pack. But don't you ever feel lonely? Everyone deserves love and companionship."

Bogum took a thoughtful sip of his beer before replying, "Of course, I get lonely sometimes, but I also believe that love isn't just about finding a mate. It's about the connections we build with friends and family, the bonds we share with our pack. I have all of you, and that's enough for me."

Jimin and Taehyung exchanged knowing glances, touched by Bogum's perspective on love and life. He was a man of depth and wisdom, and his contentment with his situation was admirable.

Changing the subject, Taehyung turned the spotlight on himself, his eyes dancing with a hint of mischief. "Alright, enough about me, Jimin, and Bogum. It's time I spill the beans."

Jimin grinned. "Spill the beans about what, Taehyung?"

Taehyung leaned in, lowering his voice conspiratorially. "I've been seeing someone."

Jimin and Bogum exchanged surprised glances. "Really?" Jimin exclaimed. "Tell us more!"

Taehyung's cheeks tinged with a faint blush, but he couldn't hide the happiness in his eyes. "He's kind, gentle, and incredibly passionate about nature, just like me. He's younger in age, but his maturity and wisdom far exceed his years. And the best part is, he's not like any other Alpha I've met."

Bogum leaned forward, intrigued. "He sounds wonderful, Taehyung. How did you meet him?"

Taehyung's smile grew wider. "We crossed paths by chance during one of my walks in the woods. We started talking, and our conversations just flowed effortlessly. It felt like we had known each other for a long time."

Jimin couldn't contain his excitement. "That's amazing, Taehyung! What's his name?"

Taehyung hesitated for a moment, as if savoring the thought of the person who had captured his heart. "His name is Minjae, and he's an Alpha from a neighboring pack."

Bogum raised an eyebrow. "An Alpha? That's interesting, Taehyung."

Taehyung nodded. "I know it might sound unconventional, but Minjae is different. He's respectful, considerate, and he understands the importance of balance in nature. I've never met an Alpha quite like him."

Jimin leaned back, a satisfied smile on his face. "Taehyung, I'm genuinely happy for you. It sounds like you've found someone special."

Taehyung's heart warmed at his friends' support. "Thank you, Jimin, Bogum. It's still early, but I'm looking forward to seeing where this connection with Minjae takes me."

The warmth of their conversation and camaraderie filled the room as Taehyung, Jimin, and Bogum enjoyed their evening together. But as the night wore on, the conversation took a more serious turn.

Taehyung turned his gaze to Jimin, his eyes reflecting a sense of determination. "Jimin, have you and Yoongi considered taking the oath beneath the full moon?"

Jimin's eyes brightened at the question, and a fond smile graced his lips. "Actually, we have. We've been planning to do it on the next full moon. It feels like the right time, and we want to make our bond official in front of everyone and the moon goddess."

Taehyung's heart swelled with happiness for his friend. "That's wonderful, Jimin. I can't wait to witness it. Taking the oath beneath the full moon is a beautiful and sacred tradition."

Jimin nodded in agreement, his eyes sparkling with anticipation. "It's going to be a special night, for both of us."

But as they discussed Jimin and Yoongi's upcoming oath, Taehyung's mood began to shift. His gaze turned distant, and his grip on his beer bottle tightened.

Jimin noticed the change in Taehyung's demeanor and asked, "Taehyung, is something wrong?"

Taehyung's eyes suddenly glowed with a brilliant shade of sapphire blue, a sign that his wolf, Sapphire, had taken control. The transformation was swift, and the air in the room crackled with tension.

"That bastard, Jungkook," Taehyung growled, his voice deeper and laced with anger. "He ruined everything."

Jimin and Bogum exchanged worried glances as they watched their friend's sudden transformation. It was clear that Taehyung's wolf was agitated and furious.

"Taehyung, what happened?" Jimin asked, concern evident in his voice.

Sapphire-Taehyung's eyes blazed with intensity as he explained, "I wanted our full moon oath to be beautiful, something to cherish forever. But Jungkook... he ruined everything."

Bogum leaned forward, his brow furrowed in confusion. "What did Jungkook do?"

Sapphire-Taehyung's voice dripped with anger as he replied, "He approached me, declared his not my mate, and then humiliated me. He made a mockery of our bond and our past."

Jimin and Bogum exchanged glances, beginning to understand the source of Taehyung's fury. Jimin placed a reassuring hand on Taehyung's shoulder. "Taehyung, I'm sorry you had to go through that. But remember, the full moon oath is a chance to create a beautiful memory with Minjae. Don't let Jungkook's actions overshadow it."

Sapphire-Taehyung's gaze softened slightly as he listened to Jimin's words. "You're right, Jimin. I won't let Jungkook's actions taint what Minjae and I have. Our love is genuine, and we'll create our own beautiful memories."

Jimin smiled warmly at his friend. "That's the spirit, Taehyung. Your full moon oath with Minjae will be a testament to your love, no matter what happened in the past."

As Sapphire-Taehyung gradually relinquished control, the sapphire glow in his eyes faded, leaving behind the familiar warmth of Taehyung's brown eyes. He took a deep breath, his composure returning.

"Thank you, Jimin, Bogum," Taehyung said, his voice steady once more. "I won't let anyone or anything dampen the beauty of our love and the sacredness of the full moon oath."

With the support of his friends and the determination to create a beautiful memory with Minjae, Taehyung knew that he could overcome any obstacle, including the ghosts of his past.
