The sun was shining in my face wand gently kissing me awake. Still half asleep I ignored it, turned back around and went back to sleep. A few minutes later my alarm went off. The sound was ringing in my ears, waking me up abruptly.
I slowly got up, slipped into my fluffy beige slippers and trotted into the kitchen. Me mom was already awake and doing some work on her laptop. At first I wanted to say good morning, but after I saw that she was in some kind of online meeting with her co-workers I just waved at her and went to our coffee machine.
While I patiently waited for my coffee to finish, I started preparing my breakfast. Today, still inspired form yesterday, I decided to get creative on this one. At first I cut the bagel in half, toasted it from one side and put on some cream cheese and salmon on it. The machine beeped to notify me that my coffee was brewed. I took the plate with the bagel on top off it and my steaming hot coffee to our table and sat down.
While scrolling through my social media platforms I ate my bagel. It tastes absolutely like heaven. In no time I was done and turned my attention to the liquid gold called coffee. When I took the second sip from the still hot mug when my friend, Ivy, called. I was happy that she called me, because now we can plan our first meeting after almost ten years. I know it's only been like ten years since she moved away but it felt like an eternity. One hour later it was all settled. We would meet up in the Central Park for a coffee and walk.
I had only three hours to get ready. I knew that five ours are quiet a lot, but I have to shower, clean my room, getting dressed and do my hair and make up. The most tricky part was for me to bee on time. I am either way too early or fifteen minutes late. So I started to quickly lean up my room. I carefully folded the clothes that came fresh out of the laundry and put them back into my closet.
It took me about an hour to finish the task. After that I went straight into the shower. I stepped into the bathroom, the warm light casting a soothing glow over the pristine tiles and the glass-encased shower. It will a long and emotional day, so I was in desperate need of some relaxation. With a sigh of relief, she turned the faucet, allowing the water to flow, gradually adjusting the temperature to her liking.
As the water droplets danced around me, my mind wandered to my longtime friend, Ivy. We have been inseparable in our childhood, sharing secrets, dreams, and countless adventures. Ivy's laughter echoed in my mind, and I couldn't help but smile as I remembered the way we used to spend hours talking about their futures, our grand plans, and all the places we'd explore together.
With a soft sigh, I let my thoughts drift to the past. We had both grown and changed over the years, taking different paths in life, but our friendship remained as strong as ever. Even though we didn't see each other as often as we used to, the secret bond we shared was unbreakable.
Lost in my thoughts of Ivy and the memories that we created, I rinsed away the soap, feeling refreshed both physically and emotionally. I turned off the shower and stepped onto my plush bath mat, wrapping myself in a soft towel.
After what felt like an eternity I had laid out my final outfit for today.

I picked a white jeans with matching, comfortable sneakers. The white crop top was topped with a green hoodie that I threw over my shoulders and tied it in the front. I than chose golden accessories, a necklace, earrings and a matching ring set. I decided to let my long dark hair down. It had grown quiet a lot in the past few years and I'm proud of it. My mom once told me that hair hold memories and that is basically the reason for me not to cut it.

I applied my favorite mascara onto the lashes so the green of my eyes would be even more visible. When I put everything on I looked in the mirror and stunned. I look better than I though I would.
I checked the time and saw that I had just enough time to walk to the Central Park instead of taking the train. The walk took me about thirty minutes, so I took that as the perfect opportunity to listen to some music. Thirty minutes later I arrived and saw that Ivy was also early. I smiled to myself and walked up to her.
„Hey Ivy I'm over here! Long time no see. How have you been?" I cheered. She immediately turned around wit a big smile plastered on her face „ Oh my gosh Izzy, I know, it's been ages! I've been good, just busy with university oh and I have a boyfriend. How about you?" I couldn't believe it, the shy and quiet girl I met ten years ago was gone. Instead she was very open minded and outgoing. I'm so happy for her. „Same here, university's been hectic. But guess what? I'm becoming an author one day. I said proudly, „and since when do you have a boyfriend!?" I cheered being curious as ever.
We talked for a few hours about how much we changed. We shared stories about how our life's went and it was so much fun. At some point I thought my feet are falling off so I suggested that we go and grab a coffee. I showed her my new favorite place in New York, the Java Junction. She was amazed as I was yesterday and that it would be her new favorite place as well.
We where lucky that we get the same spot in the corner of the window where I sat yesterday. We sat down and drank our delicious cappuccinos. We are actively engaged in our conversation, when I suddenly got that weird feeling of being watched. I turned my head around slightly just to see, that on the table next to us, a group of men looking directly at us. I somehow thought that they looked familiar but I couldn't lay my finger on it. I saw them talking to each other and nodding a couple of time in our direction which made me even more eager to know what they are talking about. Sadly we weren't sitting close enough for me to listen to their conversation.
Soon Ivy asked me how my love life and I completely forgot about these strangers. I told her that I had none because men always think I'm too complicated. She said that that's not true and that I wasn't complicated at all. I smiled and thanked her.
After a few moments of comfortable silence she mentioned that her boyfriend has a best buddy that would be my type. I just laughed, when I saw that she was actually
