Explanations and second chances

"Sweetie, are you okay, you still there" my mom's concerned voice bringing me back to reality. "Ye-yeah I'm okay mom. I was just in deep thoughts, that's all" I mumbled, slowly coming back. The thinks my mom said slowly going deep into my brain and I felt thrilled.

"Okay mom, thank you for the information. Can I call you tomorrow, I think I own my friends an explanation. Good night, sleep tight I love you" I smiled and hang up.

I couldn't contain my excitement any longer. With a grin that stretched from ear to ear, I looked at my friends and said, "Guys, you won't believe what my mom just told me." Ivy looked at my funny face and asked curiously "What is it, Izzy? You look like you're about to burst with news."

Alex, her boyfriend, leaned in eagerly and joined in "Yeah, spill the beans, Izzy! We can't handle the suspense."

I took a deep breath and exclaimed still smiling like an idiot, "okay so my mom just told me that I played the role of Tony Stak's daughter in the first avengers movie". Everyone was in a shock like state for a moment. Ivy's mouth hung open, and Alex nearly dropped his nachos. "Oh yeah and apparently I saw to small to actively remember it" I added.

"Wa-wai-wait so you just told us that YOU were an actress AND YOU FORGET IT?!" Ivy nearly screamed. Everyone else was just as confused like Ivy was, she was just the first one who find there words to express it. "Yea-Yeah I mean how can you forget like the most important time of your entire life, I mean no offense" Ivy's boyfriend joined the conversation. "Like I said, I was only six when we started shooting scenes, soo at this age its hard to keep and memory on long term" I explained, still feeling the adrenaline rushing through my body.

"So what was it like? Who did you meet and how where they" Ivy blurred out the questions. "Well, I don't remember much, just emotions and short almost picture like memories, nothing big. I just remember how impressed I was and how big and exciting everything was. Oh the cast and the whole crew where so nice to me and my mom and it felt like we all where a big patchwork family" I explained while new memories floated into my brain. "Wow this is so awesome" Ivy and her boyfriend, Alex said in union.

Mark, who had been unusually quiet, finally spoke up. "That's incredible, Izzy! You know what, my older brother was actually the casting director for that movie." "Wow this is incredible, I can briefly remembering him, he was a very nice guy" I mumbled a bit shocked. I was surprised and now I know why he didn't told us what his brother is doing. Some people would have used him in advantage to get a role in their desired movie.

Alex broke the silence with an excited grin. "You know what this means, right? Since you already acted in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, maybe you could do it again!"

Izzy's heart skipped a beat at the thought. "You think so?"
"Of course you can! I'm gonna call my brother and ask him if they planing on bringing your role back to life" Mark offered excited.
"No this is way too much and I don't want to use you as an advantage Mark" I interrupted him.
"No worries, just by seeing your younger you acting right there, you are amazing and you can do that" and with that he stood up, gapped his phone and left the room to call his brother.

Ivy, who had now fully regained her composure, added, "Absolutely! You can do this Izzy! You already did it when you were nothing more that's a little kid. Now you are a fully grown up woman, you should at least give it a shot." I was stunned and a bit taken back my these heart warming words from her, so I just nodded in agreement.

We are all on edge when Mark returned a few minutes later with his phone still on and in his hand. He told us that he had just explained the whole situation to his brother and that he would be more than happy about Izzy playing that role again. He added that the call was ongoing and that his brother could hear anything that we are saying.

During the next hour we talked to Mark's brother about bringing me and her role of Tony Starks daughter, Sky, back. I was thrilled by that second chance that was just offered me and I instantly said yes. We all cheered and exchanged the most important information like where I need to go next, where I get my script from and when the fitting for the new costume would be. To do that I exchanged my email address to keep in touch.

At the end off the call we all said good bye to him and hang up. There was a silent in this room that got broken by Ivy screaming "YOUR GOING TO BE AN ACTRESS AGAIN. MY BEST FREIND IS AN ACTESS"
We all laughed at her childish behavior but joined in.

For the rest of the night we continued to discuss the possibilities, the apartment buzzed with our excitement. We couldn't help but imagine me being back and how nostalgic this is going to be.
