Today is my first day back at a movie set, it is nerve wracking. After the phone call with Mark's brother, the casting director, everything happens so fast. I wrote lots of emails and got tons back. There were filled with instructions for what I had to do. For starters I wasn't allowed to tell anyone what I was doing. Other than that I got my script, to learn and practice my lines, and flight tickets to LA, which was exciting.
*time skip to three months later*
My heart was racing the day I had to pack up my stuff from the apartment. Saying goodbye to my mom and Izzy was also challenging. We all cried a lot. On the plane I was actually able to get some sleep. The ride in the capital to the studio didn't take that long as I expected it to be and we arrived practically in no time, at least that's what LA people say.
I stood in front of the massive Avengers movie set, my heart pounding with excitement. It had been ten years, since I had last been a part of this extraordinary franchise, and now, I am back. How exciting. What I felt was a mix of nostalgia and anticipation, like coming home after a long journey. I smiled at that thought.
With a deep breath I walked up to the gate, greeted the friendly security guard at the entrance, showed them my ID card and walked in.
As I walked through the bustling studio lot, I couldn't help but notice how much had changed. The technology had advanced, and the set was more advanced than ever, brimming with impressive props and intricate green screens that transported the actors to different worlds. Yet, there was a comforting familiarity in the air, the shared camaraderie that came from years of working together on these films.
I was about to meet the cast, and that's when my heart skipped a beat. Tom Hiddleston, the charming and enigmatic Loki, was the first to greet her. He extended his hand with a warm smile, and I couldn't help but feel a rush of gratitude for the bond they had formed during her time working on the earlier Avengers movies.
"Welcome back, Izzy," Tom said, his British accent making the words even more endearing. "It's been far too long. Wow look at you all grown up."
I couldn't help but smile as she shook his hand. "It's great to see you again, Tom. I've missed this place oh and you of course." I smiled at the last part and I swear could see him blush for a sec.The day continued with reunions and introductions. Scarlett Johansson, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, and Robert Downey Jr. all greeted me with open arms and genuine enthusiasm. They reminisced about their experiences working together on the previous films, and it was as if no time had passed. We all talked a bit about our lives and they all said how much they had missed me and how happy they are that I'm back. I had tears in my eyes by that and said that this feeling was equally.
The director, Mark's brother, Joss, was as energetic and creative as ever, and the production team had put together a script that was sure to be a blockbuster hit. I was filled with awe as I walked around the set, my eyes catching glimpses of the intricate designs, costumes, and gadgets that brought this superhero world to life.
I was beyond excited, because my role had evolved over the years, from Tony Stark's little daughter to an actual part of the Avengers team. My passion for filmmaking had driven me to learn all aspects of the craft, and I had grown quiet into a capable and creative filmmaker on my own right. This gave me a huge creative boost for writing my stories. Now, I was back on the set that had ignited my passion for storytelling in the first place.
As the day came to a close, and the cast and crew gathered for a group photo, I couldn't help but feel a profound sense of belonging. I was a part of something bigger than myself, a creative family that had been making cinematic history for over a decade. The Avengers set was a place where dreams were realized, and I was thrilled to be back where it all began.
As the camera flashed and captured the moment, I knew that this chapter of my life was just beginning, and the adventure with the Avengers was far from over.
